#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway!#TD2# Boomkin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rose throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Boomkin works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Rose controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Let's hope that Rose has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.#T1# Rose trying to control the position from guard on top but Boomkin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. #REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Rose has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rose there as he acknowledges the shot. Rose ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Boomkin looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Synjin Boomkin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.#TD2# Rose scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Rose frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Rose controlling his opponent. #T2# Rose is in the full mount, landing strikes. Rose controlling from the full mount. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Boomkin tries to get out of the position. Rose controlling the position easily from mount. #T4# Rose throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Boomkin prevents Rose from taking his back. Rose throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Boomkin holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Rose tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Kason Rose dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Rose uses his free foot to push down on Boomkin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Boomkin. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boomkin is squirming around, avoiding Rose's attempts to control the action. Rose controlling from mount. Rose has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Rose pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Boomkin has given up his back. Will we see Rose going for some submissions?

#CL2# Joe closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Boomkin throws a punch but it's blocked by Joe. Boomkin throws a head punch that misses. Boomkin swings wildly with an uppercut but Joe uses good head movement to avoid it. Joe goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Boomkin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Boomkin dips to his left and cracks Joe with an uppercut! Joe slips under a jab. Boomkin scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. A telegraphed right hand from Boomkin misses the target. Boomkin throws a jab when Joe was well out of range. Boomkin throws a looping overhand right but Joe ducks down to avoid it. Joe takes one on the button. Boomkin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Boomkin misses with a looping left. Boomkin ducks under a wild hook from Joe. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boomkin scores with a jab. Joe acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Boomkin throws a monster overhand right that drops Joe! Boomkin follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Of Lard throws a big counter combination but Boomkin scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Boomkin looks to land a left hand but Of Lard moved out of range nicely. A big right from Boomkin misses. Of Lard is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Boomkin. Boomkin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Of Lard sees it coming and avoids it easily. Of Lard on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.#CUT2#It looks like Tub Of Lard has been cut. Of Lard moves out of range of the strikes. Of Lard moves in looking to clinch but Boomkin pushes him off. Boomkin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Of Lard. Of Lard tries to close the distance and clinch but Boomkin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Boomkin misses with a hook. Of Lard takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Boomkin throws a lazy uppercut
and Of Lard counters with a three punch combo that has Boomkin backing up. Boomkin nods at Of Lard to acknowledge the strikes. Boomkin throws a big shot that misses. Boomkin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Of Lard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!#KD2# Boomkin feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Of Lard sprawling to the canvas! Of Lard rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Boomkin finish him?!

The fight stays on the outside here - Fernandez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.#KD# Boomkin sends Fernandez crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Boomkin is motioning to the referee to let Fernandez up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!#CUT#It looks like Salazar Fernandez has been cut. Fernandez blocks a jab. Fernandez fails to land the takedown. Fernandez walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Fernandez limp body while Boomkin jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Boxer rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Boomkin finish him?!
#ROC2#Boxer is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boomkin closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Boxer out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
