#R1##CL# Jack closes the distance and pushes Rackham back into the ropes. Jack misses with a knee strike.
Rackham looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Rackham misses with a knee to the head. Jack misses with a knee strike.
Jack on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Rackham is looking to take this one to the mat.#TD2# Jack is fighting off a takedown attempt but Rackham is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jack to the mat. Jack regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Rackham postures up.
Jack definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Jack looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Rackham puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Rackham is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Rackham seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Rackham scoring with strikes to the body and head. Rackham winds up and cracks Jack with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Rackham has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rackham seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jack does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Rackham is looking to advance position but Jack won't allow it. Rackham missing with the ground and pound from half guard. #T1# Rackham lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Rackham scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Rackham takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Rackham is trying to control. Jack wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Rackham working over Jack with some ground and pound. Jack looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rackham connects with a nice short shot to Jack 's temple. Rackham is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Jack is hurt! He's hurt bad - Rackham fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Jack from any more punishment! #R1##TD# Jack darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Jack is keen to just control but Varelans is a slippery customer. Varelans is trying to stand up here but Jack is controlling him well. Jack trying to control the action but Varelans is working from the bottom. Varelans is looking to control Jack 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Varelans avoid being mounted? Jack not landing any meaningful shots this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jack is thwarting Varelans's attempts to control the position. Jack is controlling the pace.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.#T1# Jack wants to control but Varelans is keeping him busy. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Varelans will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Varelans shoots in looking for a takedown. Jack tries to sprawl out of it but Varelans keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Jack manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Varelans misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jack wants to control from the top but Varelans keeps moving. Jack slips nicely into half guard. Varelans is trying to escape back to his feet but Jack uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jack trying to control the action but Varelans is working from the bottom. Varelans can't do much from the bottom here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Calico Jack dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!#R2# Varelans tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jack tries to score a power double leg takedown but Varelans sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jack somewhat. The fight stays on the outside here - Varelans looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jack feinted with a counter takedown. Varelans tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Jack manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Varelans tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jack swats him away and circles back towards the center. Varelans shoots in for a double leg but Jack sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Varelans shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jack pinned against the ropes. Jack gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. This is the final round!#R3# Varelans darts in looking for a takedown but Jack gets double underhooks and turns Varelans into the ropes. Varelans dives in and grabs Jack 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jack pushes down on Varelans's head and hops out. Jack half committed to a counter leg kick. Varelans misses with a straight right. Varelans tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Calico Jack is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Varelans looks to score with a jab to the body but Jack is just out of range. Varelans tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Jack manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jack shoots in looking for a takedown but Varelans manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jack 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jack throws a series of punches but Varelans avoids them all with ease. A slapping body kick lands there for Varelans. Varelans buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Jack shoots in for a takedown but Varelans shows good takedown defense. Jack avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Jack was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Varelans fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jack is looking to counter punch.#T2# Jack swats away the attempt to clinch by Varelans. No luck for Varelans with that takedown attempt. Varelans fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jack avoids it really well and circles away. As Varelans tries to get set, Jack tries to push him back and clinch up but Varelans manages to avoid the attempt. Varelans takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Nice takedown defense from Varelans. No joy for Jack on that attempt. Jack will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Poor timing from Jack .#TD# Jack gets the takedown into side control. Paul Varelans has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Calico Jack is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Varelans throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Calico Jack showed his dominance in that final round. Well Jack has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
