Cortez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Schneider swivels and escapes.
Don Schneider has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Cortez.
Nice body punch from Schneider.
Schneider scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Eye bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cortez's head.#TD2#
Eye gets caught napping as Cortez dives in and scores a takedown. Eye manages to retain guard.
Eye can't keep his opponent in guard - Cortez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Cortez is looking to take a break and control but Eye is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Cortez is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Eye knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Eye for a finish.
