Slavik closes the distance and clinches up with Shaw, looking for a takedown. Slavik pushes Shaw against the cage but Shaw circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.#CL#
Shaw pushes Slavik up against the cage in a clinch.
Shaw has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Slavik avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.#TD2#
Slavik is trying to trip Shaw. He has hold of a leg but Shaw is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Slavik persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Slavik is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Shaw is just riding it out for now. Slavik eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shaw wants to get back to full guard but Slavik has passed into side control.
Slavik has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Helsinki. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
You can see the frustration on Slavik's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Slavik throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shaw's waist but Shaw gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Slavik off to one side.
Shaw shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Slavik sprawls well. Slavik wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shaw gets slowly back to his feet.
Slavik shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shaw but Shaw pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Horrible takedown attempt by Slavik or perhaps it was just good defense by Shaw, which made it look bad.

That was a close round but I would say that Linkin Shaw will probably get the nod.

Shaw displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Slavik.

Slavik throws the left hand but Shaw avoids the punch easily.
