#R1# Carpentieri thows a left - swing and a miss! Carpentieri's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Carpentieri's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Sloppy strikes from Carpentieri. Those never looked like landing. We've been told by Kinsella's head coaches at Elite Boxing Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.#CL# Kinsella fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carpentieri, pushing him back against the cage. Kinsella is trying to pull guard but Carpentieri has him pressed against the cage.#TD2# Carpentieri jumps into guard, dragging Kinsella to the mat.
Kinsella trying to control but Carpentieri is working from the bottom. Carpentieri really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kinsella. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kinsella trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. and Kinsella counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Stephan Kinsella seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kinsella throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Carpentieri looks winded! Kinsella throws a series of punches but Carpentieri avoids them all with ease. Carpentieri is trying to counter with his kicks.#T2# A head kick from Kinsella lands but Carpentieri takes it in his stride. Kinsella uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Carpentieri has time to react. This has been an exciting period of action! Kinsella connects with a high kick. Kinsella lands with an uppercut that bounces Carpentieri off the cage and back into range. Kinsella listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Kinsella connects with a leg kick. Sloppy strikes there by Peterson. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peterson is working Carpentieri over with some ground and pound from side control. Peterson misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Carpentieri is trying to control Peterson's posture but Peterson avoids it. Peterson throws an elbow but Carpentieri slips to the side and avoids it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The strikes coming from Peterson are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Carpentieri really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Peterson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stevens has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Carpentieri. The fight stays on the outside here - Carpentieri looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Carpentieri wants to clinch up but Stevens keeps it at a distance. Carpentieri has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Stevens. Carpentieri misses with a head kick.

#R1# Uoston drops his hands momentarily and Carpentieri takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Uoston tries for a takedown but Carpentieri sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Carpentieri connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Carpentieri cracks Uoston on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Uoston falls backwards against the cage. Carpentieri follows up with more strikes that drop Uoston to his knees. Carpentieri keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Uoston! This one is all over!
