Messing closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Messing in particular looking to stall.
Philbeck looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Messing lands a big elbow - Philbeck is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Messing!

Borg fails with the takedown.
Borg throws a big shot that misses.
No luck for Borg with that takedown attempt.
Borg throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Philbeck.
Borg takes one to the chin there.
Borg shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kari Philbeck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Da Borg.

Borg is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
