#R1# Cooty shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Daniel counters with a lovely shot to the body. Cooty with a lazy takedown attempt and Daniel counters with a right hand to the body. Daniel lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Cooty backs up against the cage.
#CUT#It looks like Aidan Cooty has been cut. Daniel scores with a hook to the body. Cooty takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Cooty looks winded! Daniel bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cooty's head backwards.#KD# Daniel drops Cooty with a nice combination! Daniel dives into Cooty's guard, looking to finish!
This has been an exciting period of action! Cooty is looking to stand up but Daniel isn't so interested in that idea. Daniel has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Daniel trying to control the position from guard on top but Cooty is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Daniel wanted to stand there but Cooty had control of the position. Daniel controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Cooty is looking to stand up but Daniel isn't so interested in that idea. Cooty is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.#T1# Daniel is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Cooty wants to stand and escape but Daniel is having none of it. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cooty's coach down at Cozad MMA Las Vegas was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Cooty's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Daniel throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cooty stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Cooty misses with a takedown and Daniel counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Junior Daniel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Cooty goes for a double leg but Daniel avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Daniel continues to drive forward. Cooty moves in looking to clinch but Daniel pushes him off. Daniel is looking for a counter combo. Cooty shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Daniel counters with a three punch combo that has Cooty backing up. Cooty nods at Daniel to acknowledge the strikes. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Daniel connects with a nice short shot to Cooty's temple. Daniel not landing any meaningful shots this time. Daniel perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Daniel looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Cooty seems to have recovered his senses. Cooty keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cooty can do anything to dispel that myth. Cooty looks like he's trying to stand up.

Cooty shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Daniel counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Cooty! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! #R1# Cooty shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Silva counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Cooty takes one to the chin there. Silva cracks Cooty with an open hand slap. Silva cracks Cooty with a good jab. Cooty tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Silva defends well and Cooty ends up having to push Silva into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. A short uppercut from Silva. Cooty has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silva avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aidan Cooty. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva has Cooty pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva is leaning against Cooty and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Cooty is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Silva pulls him back up using the underhooks. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Silva has eaten all the pies!#T1##BC2# Silva breaks from the clinch.

Aidan Cooty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Silva. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cooty misses with a takedown and Silva counters with a straight right hand. Crunch! Silva slams his shin into Cooty's torso. Cooty on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Silva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cooty looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Silva scores with the left hand. Cooty knows he should have avoided that one. Silva fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Silva - that will leave a mark!

Silva lands a jab to Cooty's midsection. Cooty takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Silva scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

A nice inside leg kick there by Silva. That's going to slow Cooty down. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Cooty doesn't succeed with the takedown and Silva counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Silva digs a good body shot into Cooty's ribs. Silva cracks Cooty with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Cooty with a poor takedown and Silva counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Cooty walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Flynn Silva seems to be getting the better of the standup. Cooty fails with the takedown and Silva counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aidan Cooty. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#TD2# Silva feints and as Cooty raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva works over Cooty with some ground and pound from guard. Silva seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Silva is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cooty. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Silva connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. #TD2# Silva shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Silva showed some decent athleticism there. Silva is figuring out what he wants to do next.#T3# Silva prevents Cooty from standing back up.

Silva scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Silva scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Aidan Cooty has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cooty takes a shot right to the bread basket.
And that's the end of the fight! Flynn Silva comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
