Bronx on the wrong end of a nice hook. Carlos digs a good body shot into Bronx's ribs. Bronx changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Bronx definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. A jab from Carlos misses. Bronx fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carlos manages to avoid it. We've been informed that Carlos has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Bronx misses with a straight right. Carlos with the counter takedown but Bronx avoids it easily. Carlos defending well as Bronx loads up on a big left hand. Bronx throws a jab but it's blocked by Carlos. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Krawlee has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Carlos misses with a combination
and Krawlee counters with a stiff right hand. Carlos tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Krawlee defends well and Carlos ends up having to push Krawlee into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Krawlee scores with an uppercut up the middle. Good body shot from Krawlee.

Carlos sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Carlos works Dim Mak's body with a nice hook. Carlos lands a head shot. Dim Mak tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dim Mak throws a head kick that misses. Dim Mak moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Dim Mak moves away from the strike by Carlos. Dim Mak moves out of range as Carlos strikes. Dim Mak takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Carlos on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.#ROC#Carlos is rocked! Today's fight clock is brought to you by... Carlos working hard to break the clinch. Mfer lands with a left to the head. A head punch on the inside from Carlos fails to land. Mfer lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Carlos blocks an uppercut.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Mfer. Carlos looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. A short right from Mfer on the inside. Carlos tries to circle away but Mfer has him pinned against the cage. Mfer blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Mfer working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Mfer lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Carlos backwards. Carlos definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.#TD# Carlos manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Carlos is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Carlos trying to control the position from guard on top but Mfer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mfer can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Carlos controls the pace. Carlos looking to sit in guard and control but Mfer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVB##T4# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mfer slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Carlos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mfer is one step ahead there. Carlos pulls Mfer in close to prevent any damage. Carlos is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. #T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mfer controlling from the top position. #REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Carlos takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Mfer has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A big right from Mfer misses. Mfer slips under a jab from Carlos. Mfer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Carlos thuds his right hand into Mfer's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Mfer just misses with a punch to the body.

Carlos dips to his left and cracks Mfer with an uppercut!#T4# Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mfer shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Carlos eats them both and turns towards Mfer to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Carlos fails with the takedown.#TD# Carlos darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Mfer controlling the position well. Mfer trying to control from the bottom.

A close second round but Mickey Mfer will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!#R3# Mfer punishes Carlos's body with a nice straight punch. Carlos misses with a wild body shot. Mfer throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Carlos on the side of the head. Carlos looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mfer wants to clinch up but Carlos keeps it at a distance. Carlos takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Mfer scores with a nice right hand.
#TD# Carlos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mfer to the ground. Carlos is now in Mfer's guard. Carlos postures up in Mfer's guard and throws a big left but Mfer blocks it. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Carlos sitting in guard, not really doing much. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.#TD# Carlos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mfer napping and manages to drive through into side control! Mfer is not content to let Carlos control the position. Mfer managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Carlos.
#T4# Mfer is not content to let Carlos control the position. Carlos creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mfer sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Jack Carlos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mfer gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Mfer is trying to get back to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carlos thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mfer's head.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Carlos. I think Mfer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

#R1# Barnes takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Carlos lands a head shot. Barnes goes for a double leg but Carlos avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Carlos continues to drive forward. Carlos lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Carlos stuns Barnes with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Carlos circles away from the clinch attempt and Carlos cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Carlos lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
#ROC#Barnes is rocked! Carlos lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Barnes head around and knocks him out cold! Carlos hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

#R1# Carlos on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Valente pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Carlos keeps the fight on the outside. Carlos was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Carlos misses with a right hand #CL2# and Valente counters by clinching up. Carlos scores with an uppercut up the middle. Valente makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Carlos wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Valente has him pressed against the cage. Valente tries to score a body lock takedown but Carlos shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Carlos has had enough of the clinch but Valente keeps him there for the moment. Valente swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Carlos wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Carlos is looking to break free of the clinch but Valente has double underhooks. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Valente. Valente misses with a punch to the body.
#BC2# Valente pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Valente throws a low kick but Carlos avoids it. Carlos lands with an overhand left. Valente tries to clinch up. Carlos lands a jab to the nose. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carlos lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A swing and a miss from Valente.#T1# Carlos fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Carlos waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Valente. Carlos throws a series of punches but Valente moves out of range. Carlos lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Valente looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carlos is fending him off so far but Valente persists. Nope, Carlos circles away and we're back to standing. Carlos uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Valente. An attempted straight right counter from Carlos misses the target. Carlos lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Carlos lands a jab to the head.
#ROC#Valente is rocked! Carlos moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Valente is still on wobbly legs! Can Carlos finish him? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carlos throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Valente's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Carlos dives in looking to finish as Valente flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Carlos's strikes! Carlos is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Valente's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Valente was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
