Calamaro is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Balboa pulls him back up using the underhooks. #TD# Balboa decides to pull guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Balboa working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Calamaro. Calamaro looking to sit in guard and control but Balboa gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR# Calamaro keeping full guard, as Balboa tries to pass. Calamaro tries to land a sweep but no joy. #T1# Calamaro is controlling Balboa's posture. Balboa won't allow Calamaro to sweep him here. Balboa throws a big elbow that misses. Calamaro controlling the position.#SU# Balboa stands up from Calamaro's guard - Balboa perhaps looking for a knockout. Balboa fails to land the takedown. Nice jab there from Balboa. #TD2# Balboa gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Calamaro to score an easy takedown into full guard. Calamaro wants to pass the guard but Balboa is keeping the position.#T2# Calamaro postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. #SUB2# Calamaro is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Calamaro trying to control but Balboa is working from the bottom. Calamaro passes easily into side control. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Calamaro trying to control the position but Balboa is working away. Balboa tries to get back to half guard but can't. Balboa wants to control but Calamaro postures up. Calamaro trying to control the action but Balboa is working from the bottom. #T3# Balboa tries to bench press Calamaro off him but Calamaro keeps the position. Calamaro throws a strike aimed at the side of Balboa's head but Balboa avoids it well. Calamaro wants to control but Balboa is keeping him busy. Calamaro works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Calamaro taking a breather here. The strikes coming from Calamaro are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Balboa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Calamaro on the ground. Balboa is breathing heavily. Balboa is not content to let Calamaro control the position. Balboa avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Calamaro. #SUB2# Calamaro is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Balboa has escaped the position, nice work there. #T4##SUB2# Calamaro is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Balboa is trying to escape and Calamaro transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Balboa is forced to tap! Nice work there by Calamaro! Very nice indeed!
