Asakura has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Riker regains guard immediately.

Asakura is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Riker has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Asakura is looking to defend but Riker has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Asakura! Riker pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Asakura taps out and this one is all over!

Lara is working for a rear naked choke. Riker is not defending it well and Lara has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Riker refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Riker's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Riker drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Riker seems to have locked his on tight now - Kaufman screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Riker, as he picks up the win!

A very excited looking William Riker rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Riker gets a double leg takedown into Silver's guard.
Riker cracks Silver with a solid left hand.
Riker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Riker is pushing down on Silver's leg trying to pass to half guard. Silver is fighting to maintain full guard but Riker has managed to sneak the leg through.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Riker lands a nice short elbow.#ROC2#Silver is rocked!
Riker is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Silver is hurt! He's hurt bad - Riker fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Silver from any more punishment! Congratulations to Riker! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William Riker!
William Riker decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
