#R1# Rush gets off balance looking for a body kick and Sobaka counters with a right hand to the body. Rush fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sobaka is out of range. Rush throws a leg kick that is checked#TD2# and Sobaka counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Rush is looking for a sweep. Sobaka is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rush wants to get back to full guard but Sobaka has passed into side control. Rush tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rush is not content to let Sobaka control the position. #SU2# Sobaka decides to take the fight back to the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rush tries to close the distance and clinch but Sobaka swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sobaka takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Sobaka throws a series of punches but Rush avoids them all with ease. Sobaka pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Sobaka lets loose with a powerful body kick. Rush will feel that in the morning. Sobaka looks winded! Rush throws a body kick that misses. A good leg kick by Rush. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. We've been informed that Sobaka has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T4# Rush wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Sobaka prevents Rush from getting the reversal. Rush tries to hold on but Sobaka postures up. Rush keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Nice work. Rayan Rush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sobaka misses with a body kick. Rush looking for a sweep but Sobaka has passed into full mount! Oh no! Sobaka sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Rush is in a horrible position here. Rush knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sobaka on the ground. Sobaka trying to control but he's not successful this time. Sobaka is landing with some decent strikes but Rush is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Sobaka has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rush is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
