Fernedez dives in for a single leg takedown but Rivara sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Fernedez darts in looking for a takedown but Rivara gets double underhooks and turns Fernedez into the cage. Rivara digs a good body shot into Fernedez's ribs. Rivara circles away from the clinch attempt and Rivara counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.#TD2# Rivara is looking for a takedown here. A jab from Rivara does it's job there. Rivara lands with an uppercut that bounces Wallace off the cage and back into range. Rivara misses with the combination.
Wallace tries to counter with a clinch but Rivara shakes him off and moves away.#TD2# Wallace closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rivara to the mat! Rivara manages to get full guard. Rivara is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Wallace dives into side control.

Birchmont throws a big counter combination but Brooks scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Birchmont really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Brooks misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Frost has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Partio shoots in and drives through. Frost sprawls well. Partio seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Frost throws a jab but it's blocked by Partio. Frost tries to clinch up but Partio circles away and keeps his distance. Partio is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Frost. #CL2# Frost pushes Partio up against the cage in a clinch. Partio scores with a shoulder strike.
