and Kilo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #TD# Cree scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Cree trying to control the pace. Cree lands with a punch from half guard. Cree tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kilo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Kilo is looking to control Cree's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kilo avoid being mounted? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Still in half guard, Cree seems content to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kilo tries to roll over but Cree keeps him under control.#T1# Cree stalling. Kilo trying to control here.
Cree working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Cree stops Kilo from getting back to his feet.

Cree is nestled in close to Kilo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Cree is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cree seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Cree wants to pass the guard but Kilo is defending well. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Cree slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Cree's corner. There ya go! I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kilo is trying to keep Cree in close.
#T3# Cree cracks Kilo with a solid left hand. Cree sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cree has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.#SUB2# Kilo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cree defends it easily.#REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kilo fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kilo tries a low kick but Cree avoids it.#T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cree dives in and grabs Kilo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kilo pushes down on Cree's head and hops out. Kilo throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cree counters with a stiff right hand. Kilo throws a front kick aimed at Cree's knee but Cree avoids it well. Cree throwing a counter right hand but Kilo manages to avoid it. Kilo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cree counters with a nice body shot. Kilo tries to clinch but Cree moves away and Cree counters with a right hand to the body. Kilo is breathing heavily.#TD# Kilo gets caught flat footed, as Cree shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Cree is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Cree controlling from the top position. Cree content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kilo working a defensive guard here.

He catches Kilo napping and manages to drive through into side control! Kilo tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Cree looking to finish Kilo with some ground and pound. This is bad for Kilo! Cree lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cree takes a little breather and maintains the position. Cree lands a big shot there that rocks Kilo but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Kilo is still in real trouble! Can Cree finish him? Cree tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. This is a sustained period of stalling by Cree. Kilo is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell?#T2# Cree connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

#R1# Rick connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cree. Cree circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Rick lands with a straight right. Cree didn't see that one coming.#TD2# Rick tries to sprawl but Cree drives through with a takedown into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Cree prevents Rick from improving his position.#SU2# Cree postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Rick to stand up. Rick lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rick is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. No luck with that takedown attempt from Rick. Nice uppercut there from Rick.#T1# Rick lands with a shot to the body. Cree takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Rick definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Cree content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Rick struggling a bit here. Rick is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.#REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.#T3# Rick pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Cree wants to counter the offense by Rick and move into the clinch position. Rick lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Rick lands the left hand. Rick goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Rick fails with the takedown. Cree tries to counter with a clinch but Rick shakes him off and moves away. A looping hook to the body misses from Rick. Cree does a little dance to reset his feet. Rick shoots in looking for a takedown. Cree tries to sprawl out of it but Rick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cree manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Slick Rick. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T4##TD2# Cree closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rick's guard. Cree controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Rick trying to keep a closed guard but Cree is proving a slippery customer.

That was a close round but I would say that Slick Rick will probably get the nod. That's time! Rick follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Rick shoots for a double leg takedown but Cree sprawls well. He's pushed Rick's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. No luck for Cree with that takedown attempt. Rick waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cree.#TD2# Cree shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rick napping and manages to drive through into side control! A close third round but Emmanouil Cree just about did enough to take it. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. #R4# Rick throws a combination that misses #CL2# and Cree counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cree. Rick jumps guard but Cree stands there with Rick around his waist. Rick gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Slick Rick will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! #R5# Rick moves in looking to clinch but Cree pushes him off. Rick misses with a wild body shot. Rick dips to his left and cracks Cree with an uppercut! Rick misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cree.

#R1# McDonnell tries to land a front kick but Cree steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Cree walks forward, straight into a front kick from McDonnell. A head kick by McDonnell misses #TD# and Cree counters with a shoot takedown. McDonnell fights it but they end up in guard. Cree slips nicely into half guard. Cree lands strikes from half guard. Cree working McDonnell over with strikes. Cree seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Cree has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cree lands with a punch from half guard. Cree wants to pass the guard but McDonnell is defending well. #R1# Cleveland tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cree paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cleveland is looking to clinch but Cree is avoiding it.
#TD2# Cree closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cleveland did well to prevent Cree getting side control. Cleveland wants to get back to full guard. Cree stalling away here and it's allowed Cleveland to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Cree looking to pass the guard. Cleveland can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cree controls the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cleveland manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cree manages to get himself to full guard.
