#R1# Kung goes for a double leg but Jones avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jones continues to drive forward. Kung misses with a takedown and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.#TD# Kung feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.#SUB# Kung drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kung jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Jones looking to control.

Jones shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Kung is backing up but Jones catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Kung covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Jones Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

and Meechum takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. #CUT# It looks like Danny Meechum has been cut. Meechum shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Killa defends it nicely. Killa was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Stone Cold Killa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Meechum. Meechum tries to shoot in for a takedown. #R1# Nice sprawl there from Griffith as Meechum shoots in. Griffith stuffs the takedown. Meechum doesn't manage to clinch there - Griffith circles away.
Meechum takes one on the chin but seems OK.
#CUT# It looks like Harold Meechum has been cut. Meechum shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Griffith defends it nicely. Anthony Griffith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harold Meechum. Griffith misses with a double jab.
Griffith avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Griffith misses with a telegraphed body shot

Meechum has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Griffith finds it's way round the side to connect with Meechum's head. Meechum misses with a takedown and Griffith counters with a left to the body. Meechum takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Griffith misses with a few strikes there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Griffith. Meechum does a little dance to reset his feet. Meechum moves in looking to clinch but Griffith pushes him off. Griffith goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Griffith will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Anthony Griffith! Anthony Griffith decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
