#R1# Silva takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Lappers moves out of range easily. #TD# Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Silva wants to stand and escape but instead Lappers has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. #REVB# Lappers controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Silva utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lappers content to stall in guard here. Lappers loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva wants to sweep but no luck. Lappers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. That was a close round but I would say that Alberto Silva will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. #R2# Lappers blocks a head kick by Silva.

Lappers feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Silva's calf. Lappers scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Lappers plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Silva fails with a takedown attempt. Lappers looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Silva closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Lappers will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Silva could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Silva with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Silva controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Silva is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Silva wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving. #SUB# Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
