#TD2# and Mendes counters with a nice double leg into guard. Mendes controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Aure is trying to control the position but Mendes postures up. Aure really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mendes advances position into side control! Aure knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mendes on the ground. Aure is trying to control Mendes's posture but Mendes avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mendes tries to move into full mount but can't pass Aure's legs. Mendes is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Aure will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.#T1# Aure is trying to improve his position. Aure tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Mendes has knee on belly and moves into mount. Mendes controlling the pace for now. #SUB2# Mendes looking to isolate an arm here. Aure doesn't see it coming and as Mendes extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Mendes!

#R1# Aldridge looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. No luck for Hardcastle with that takedown attempt. Hardcastle is looking to clinch but Aldridge is avoiding it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Aldridge! But no joy. Hardcastle will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hardcastle tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Aldridge paws at him with a jab and circles away. Aldridge tries for a takedown but Hardcastle circles away easily and Hardcastle counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hardcastle wants to clinch up but Aldridge keeps it at a distance. Hardcastle lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Aldridge circles away quickly and effectively. Hardcastle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Aldridge changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Hardcastle misses with a head kick.

Hardcastle throws a big counter combination but Aldridge scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Hardcastle tries for a takedown but Aldridge sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Aldridge tries to bum rush Hardcastle with a series of wild strikes but Hardcastle uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hunter Hardcastle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Aldridge throws a right and a left that both miss. Hardcastle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.#T2# Aldridge jabbing away but nothing is landing. Hardcastle throws a body shot but no joy. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Aldridge has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Some bone on bone action there as Hardcastle checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Hunter Hardcastle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Aldridge keeps the fight on the outside. Hardcastle shoots in but Aldridge avoids the takedown attempt easily. Aldridge wants to counter with a clinch but Hardcastle pushes him away.#T3##KD2# Aldridge cracks Hardcastle with an uppercut from hell and Hardcastle crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Aldridge's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
#ROC2# Hardcastle is rocked! Aldridge's corner is telling him to maintain position. Oh Hardcastle is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!#ES# Hardcastle pushes Aldridge off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Hardcastle seems to have got his legs back now. Hardcastle tries to get into range but Aldridge steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Hardcastle! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Aldridge scores the big KO victory!

Curry has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Thompson is landing a low percentage of strikes. Curry looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Thompson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

#CL# and Thompson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Curry is trying to push Thompson away but Thompson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.#BC2# Curry breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Curry moves out of range of the leg kick from Thompson. Curry changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Curry finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

#BC2# Mo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Mo closes the distance and clinches up with Mendes, looking for a takedown. Mo pushes Mendes against the cage but Mendes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mo tries to land a body kick#TD# and Mendes counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Mendes is taking a breather. Mo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Mo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mo trying to control from the bottom.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mendes in particular looking to stall. Mendes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Mendes wants to pass the guard but Mo is defending well. #SUB# Mendes is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mo sees it coming and defends easily. Mo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Mendes missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. #T3# Mo gets full guard. Mendes lands a couple of elbows. Mo has a closed guard, preventing Mendes from standing up. Mendes keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mo's head. Mendes tries to stand but Mo is controlling from the bottom. Mendes forces his way into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Mo manages to regain full guard. Nice work. #T4# Mo throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Walsh jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. #T1# Sha looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sha lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
