#R1# You shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Li pinned against the cage. Li gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Chun Li seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#TD2# You gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Li scores with a decent looking elbow strike. You trying to control the position.
Li keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of You's head. Li postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. You really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Li postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.#SUB# Li avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Li loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. #T1# You is trying to control the position from the bottom.
You has momentary wrist control but Li slips an elbow through the middle. You controls Li momentarily but Li frees himself. Li really doesn't want to stay on the ground with You. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Li landing with the ground and pound. Li working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of You's head. Li postures up and lands a big shot to You's brow. Li chips away with some ground and pound. You manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Li manages to get himself to full guard.

Li wants to stand and escape but You is having none of it. #T3# The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.#REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Li prevents You from getting back to his feet. Li distracts You with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Li lands a couple of elbows. Will he be able to recover?!!#T4# Li stands up over You, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Li postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Li loads up on a big left hand. You felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Li looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! You can't hide his disappointment, as Li celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chun Li! Chun Li was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
