Zapp looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Batho is looking to counter punch. Zapp fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nice shot by Batho. Zapp fails to land the takedown. Tshephang Batho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Zapp. Zapp slips under a jab. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Zapp is defended easily by Batho. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD2# Batho gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Zapp trying to control but Batho is working from the bottom. #T1# Zapp postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Batho keeping moving, preventing Zapp from controlling successfully. Zapp missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Zapp wants to control from the top but Batho keeps moving. My spies in Blood^and^Guts inform me that Zapp has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!#T2# The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Johnny Zapp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horrible takedown attempt by Zapp or perhaps it was just good defense by Batho, which made it look bad. Batho is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Zapp cracks Batho with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Tshephang Batho is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Zapp with a lazy takedown attempt and Batho counters with a lovely straight right hand! Zapp closes the distance and clinches up with Batho, looking for a takedown. Zapp pushes Batho against the cage but Batho circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Batho tries to stand but Zapp is controlling from the bottom. Zapp is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Batho not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

#TD2# Zapp jumps guard and drags Batho to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Zapp has a closed guard, preventing Batho from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Batho trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.#T1# Batho controls from within his opponent's guard. Batho trying to control the position from guard on top but Zapp is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Zapp is trying to hold Batho in close to prevent damage but Batho has managed to pass into half guard.

There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.#REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Zapp tries to clinch but Batho moves out of range. It looked like Batho was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Zapp staying out of range there. Batho takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Zapp wants to clinch up but Batho keeps it at a distance. Batho went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Zapp gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Zapp takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Zapp throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Batho's waist but Batho gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zapp off to one side. Johnny Zapp is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Batho leaves Zapp with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Zapp.#T3# Batho swats away the attempt to clinch by Zapp. Batho clobbers Zapp with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Batho throws a nice looking combination but Zapp bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Zapp is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Batho with a body shot. Jab from Batho. Batho rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Zapp counters with a nice body shot. Zapp shoots for a takedown but Batho saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Batho seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Zapp tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Batho paws at him with a jab and circles away. Zapp with a lazy takedown attempt and Batho counters with a nice uppercut. Zapp closes the distance but Batho moves to the side and Batho counters with a thumping low kick. Batho is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Zapp can do to turn this around? Zapp takes a head kick and keeps coming.
#T4# Batho connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. #ROC#Zapp is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zapp moves to clinch but Batho breaks away and Batho scores with a counter punch that sends Zapp to the canvas! Batho smells blood - he's punishing Zapp with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Zapp has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

and Batho cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lopette catches Batho with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Lopette ducks right into an uppercut from Batho. Lopette avoids the head kick by Batho.
Batho blocks a leg kick. Batho is looking to counter punch. Batho throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lopette. #KD# Batho lands a big head kick that sends Lopette tumbling to the mat! Batho takes a step backwards and waves Lopette back to his feet - he wants the finish!#ROC#Lopette is rocked!#CUT#It looks like Bornas Lopette has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lopette looks to score with a jab to the body but Batho is just out of range. Lopette pivots, looking for a leg kick but Batho is out of range and Lopette settles back down. It looked like Batho was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. We've been told by Batho's head coaches at Kung Pao that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Lopette connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Batho cracks a nice hook into Lopette's ribs. Batho throws a monster overhand right that drops Lopette! Batho follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

#R1# Rock slips under a jab. Ghost seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Ghost just misses with a punch to the body.
Rock throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rock shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ghost counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.#CUT# It looks like John Rock has been cut. Rock displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ghost throws out the jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ghost uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Ghost lands a jab to Rock's midsection.#TD2# Rock throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ghost tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rock is in Ghost's guard.#T1# Ghost is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rock stops Ghost from standing up. Rock looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Rock slips nicely into half guard. Ghost is looking to escape. Rock perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Ghost tries to kick Rock off but Rock keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Rock controlling the action here. Ghost wants to improve his position but Rock is controlling well.
#T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Well, if Rock is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Rock content just to control the position here. It looks like Rock might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Rock takes Ghost's back. Ghost is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Rock.
Let's hope that Rock has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Ghost tries to break free.

We've been informed that Rock has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. A couple of punches soften him up though and Rock has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Ghost taps out!

Rock shoots in looking for a takedown. McRay tries to sprawl out of it but Rock keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McRay manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Rock slips under a jab from McRay. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed right hand from McRay misses the target. McRay stuns Rock with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. McRay misses with a wild body shot. #T1# Rock looks for a takedown but McRay sprawls well. McRay feints the counter takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Rock. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rock fails with a takedown attempt.#TD# Rock shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches McRay napping and manages to drive through into side control!#ES2# McRay sneaks out the side door and pushes Rock away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. McRay's coach down at Prosper Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on McRay's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Scott McRay is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.#T2# McRay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rock moves away. McRay slaps away a takedown attempt from Rock, before circling back to the center of the mat. McRay with the counter takedown but Rock avoids it easily.#TD# Rock shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McRay's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rock stops McRay from standing up. Rock seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. McRay wants to stand and escape but Rock is having none of it. McRay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#T3# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rock seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Rock passes McRay's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Rock perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. #SUB# Rock maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! McRay could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Rock has cracked it and McRay is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Rock!

Rock is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Kurt Winslow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rock keeps the fight on the outside. Winslow darts in trying to clinch#TD2# and Rock counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. #SUB2# Rock is working for a kimura but Winslow is defending it quite comfortably.
