#R1# Whitehead lands a really nice looking cross but Rosario seems unphased.
Rosario connects with a body shot. Whitehead misses with a hook. Rosario ducked under it nicely. #CL2# Whitehead moves into range and clinches up with Rosario. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Whitehead has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.#TD2# Whitehead gets control of Rosario's arms and successfully pulls guard. Whitehead will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Whitehead tries to land a sweep but no joy. Whitehead pulls Rosario in close to his closed guard and prevents Rosario from doing any damage or advancing position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Let's hope that Whitehead has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.#T1##REF3# The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. Donovan fails with a takedown attempt. Horrible takedown attempt by Donovan or perhaps it was just good defense by Alvarenga, which made it look bad. Donovan shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Alvarenga lands with a nice body punch. Alvarenga uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Donovan.
