28 Jun 23 - KIFC Future
Managers and Fighters, as this island season comes to a close. I wanted to say thank you for being a amazing active group. This was my second Island run and each year I get a little better. We ended with a large number of fights 97 in about 6 months or a fight every 2 days (granted we normally had 4-5 in a day on the weekends. I will be moving the Org to Montreal and handing over the management to a new owner who will run it much like the old Highland. So your fighters will have a place to fight without getting smashed by 30+ year old fighters that have had better gyms to train in. Again, a amazing season, great fighters, great managers, and I look forward to running it back next Island season. Where I will work on getting higher salaries for fighters quicker.
25 Jun 23 - Our first Manager has been Inducted into the HoF
Our first manager inducted into the hall of fame is a experienced manager that has amassed over 840 wins in his storied career. In the KIFC he manages HoFer Felix Pappalardi, along with Jack Bruce, and Roger Glover. His fighters have captured the belts in the 170, 265, and 265+ weight classes. Monkey currently has 6 of his 7 fighters ranked in the top 5 of their weight class on the island. And holds a overall record of 56-10-1, with a Championship fight record of 15-5.
18 Jun 23 - Felix Pappalardi inducted into the Hall of Fame
Felix Pappalardi fights anyone at any time. He quickly rose in the ranks with a 100% KO rate. At 10-1 overall he is one of the most feared fighters on the roster. He also holds the record as the longest reigning Heavy Weight Champion with 5 title defenses. Holds records for 8 knockouts under a minute, and the fastest KO in island history with a 5 second beatdown of Jaxon Aceves. Felix is also known for the level of his competition, with 8 of his fights coming against Top 5 fighters in his division at the time of the fights.
20 May 23 - KIFC 72 Pay Per View
26 May at the Hard Knocks Arena on The Island is when KIFC 72 will be held. In what many are calling the Memorial Day Massacre it is a showcase of the massive amount of talent that is current on the Island and on the King of the Island Fight Club roster. There are 5 total Championship Fights...five you heard that right.

Recent Hall of Famer Darstknasset Oystenteller (10-0) vs Tommy Fury (8-1) for the 155lb Title

This will be a interesting fight with Darstknasset not only having never tasted defeat, having never really been tested is a ground specialist. Who averages 4.7 takedown attempts a fight, getting his opponent down to the ground 2.1 times a fight. Where he uses accurate ground and pound to soften them up averaging more than 15 strike attempts a fight on the ground with a 60% accuracy rate before going for the submission. He has finished 70% of his fights with a submission and had stoppages in 80% of his fights. He will face Tommy Fury who is also a Brown Belt in BJJ. Tommy has finished all 8 of his wins by submission for a 100% stoppage rate. What Tommy does is get his opponents to the ground and apply well timed submissions. He is so effective at it he has three submissions in less than 1 minute already under his belt.

The key to this fight is that these fighters have fought before were Oystenteller won 4 out of 5 rounds and kept Fury on his feet. In a change of tactics Darstknasset threw 62 strikes on his feet, more than all his other 9 fights combined. And focused on keeping Fury on his feet, stuffing 40…that’s right 40 of 43 takedown attempts. Even when Tommy got him down, he couldn’t submit him. But this was in March both Tommy and Darstknasset have grown and been tested since then. This fight will be the one to watch.

Tokoni Soaki (6-2) vs Jack Bruce (8-1) for the 265+lb Title

Tokoni is another Brown belt BJJ grappler that has a knack for taking arms, with 5 Armbars to his credit. Both of his two losses have come by TKO early in the 1st round. If he is able to get you into the deep water, he will break your arm. Jack Bruce on the other hand is a heavy-handed assassin who prefers to put people to sleep the old fashion way by disconnecting their souls from their body with blunt force trauma. He has KOed every fighter he has faced but 1…Tokoni Soaki. Tommy held the title for 5 championship fights before losing it to Soaki and plans to take it back. Tommy is not a high-volume striker but a very accurate striker that is good in or out of the clinch who had never been taken down until he fought Tokoni. This will be a style match up if it goes to the ground Tokonia will collect another arm, if it stays on its feet to long, Tommy may take another soul. Don’t go to the bathroom during this fight.

Coldy Wyldin (6-0) vs Roger Glover (5-0) for the 170lb Title

Coldy will be defending his title for the first time. A brute that has KOed every fighter brave enough to get in the ring looks to continue that streak vs Roger Glover. Roger is also a striker that has never tasted defeat who has shown himself to have a solid chin, but he has not been hit by someone with Coldy’s power. This fight will not go to a decision these men throw hands with murderous intent.

Recent Hall of Famer Small Dayton (11-1) vs Lyman Hicks (5-1) for the 145lb Title

Small Dayton is a ground specialist who has been destroying fighters left and right, which has earned him his induction into the KIFC Hall of Fame and the #1 P4P fighter rating on the island. Lyman Hicks who is just one of those crazy tough dudes that will fight anyone at any time at anywhere. Took this fight without hesitation. Hicks isn’t a stopper with only a 40% stoppage rate but is not a easy out. He grinds fighters down like a machine. But his one loss is to a submission against a grappler that is not in Dayton’s league. If he can keep it on his feet he has a chance…not a great chance but a chance.

Hrvoje Kovacevic (6-0) vs John Entwhisle (7-1) for the 205lb Title

Hrvoje is an undefeated fighter that has 4 KOs under 25 seconds to his name…under 25 seconds…He faces another knockout specialist in John Entwhisle who has also shown quick KO power with a 5 second knockout. His one loss was to heavy hitter Killer Mike so there maybe cracks in his chin. But this one will be a banger that could last less time than the walkout.

And while not a title fight, it is a title contention fight Colby Taylor (9-1) vs Stan Man (8-3) at
Colby a former Champion who is a submission specialist looks to show why his BJJ Brown belt is better than Stan Man’s BJJ Purple Belt. Both fighters are ground fighters with no fear. Who know they are fighter to be the next challenger for the title. This one looks to favor Colby Taylor who has a stronger ground game but Stan has some power to go with his BJJ and can KO you on the ground.
19 May 23 - Hall of Fame Induction
Managers and Fighters. We just wanted to notify the group that we had two of our amazing fighters be the first induction into the KIFC Hall of Fame. Small Dayton who is a submission specialist that is currently 11-1. Who is the #1 P4P fighter on the Island, the #1 Bantamweight on the Island, and is currently undefeated in the KIFC. And Darstknasset Oystenteller who is also a submission specialist with a KO to his credit. Darstknasset is 10-0, having never tasted defeat as of his entry into the Hall of Fame. He is the #2 P4P fighter and the #1 Island Lightweight, who is 6-0 in championship fights. Continue to develop your fighters and turn your stars into legends. Like these two amazing fighters.
02 Apr 23 - April Update
Team,
I normally clear the roster every weekend of FAs and Fighters whose managers have been AFK for more than 15 days. We have managed to hold 41 full fight cards. KIFC 42 will be our first fight card without 10 fights on it. I have started sending out contracts as people complete their first one everyone will have 1k/1k/1k/1k/1k minimum shortly. We will get the salaries into the 2k/2k/2k range shortly. I am hoping someone opens some more Island gyms so you can get your fighters some quality training time. I am changing the way I book fights; I will try, and book 6 full fight cards every 15 days. This will give you time to train your fighters and recover from injuries. Looking at the roster the monsters in the 265+ and busting each other up and many are injured for 10 to 15 days. If you want to fight more than every 14 days let me know. If you have issues with your fights, when you decline them just let me know what it is so I can find a matchup that works. Look at the Free Agent pool there are some solid island fighters there to include some previous champs: Jeremy King (4-2), Euan Daxton (5-2), Caleb Jones (7-2), Killer Mike (5-1). All future fights will have 5000K for the bonuses, we were up to 3000K we are increasing it.
The current roster is sitting at 262 fighters, and we are doing good with getting talent, and are always looking for more. The fights are competitive and no one is getting protected, as can be seen by having multiple belt changes, 135lb has changed (3 times), 145 has not changed at all Marco Natta said you can come take that shit from his cold dead fingers, 155lb has changed (1 time) and Darstknasset Oystenteller seems to think it is his for the rest of the season, 170lb (changed 1 time). 185lb (2 times with three different champions in less than 2 months-that is a competitive weight class), 205lbs (changed 1 time) with Doja Cee going for his first defense soon, 265lbs and 265+ have both changed hands 1 and both Jack Bruce and Felix Pappalardi have stated they do not plan to give up the belts any time soon.
If you have fighters that want to fight in two weight classes let me know, I am okay with that. But if you are champion you have to defend your belt, we can’t slow down the division while you do a Conner Proper Juiced McGregor.

And whichever of your fighters keeps shitting in the showers after fights we will find you.
