Dickie "The Dirt" Dirty
Big congrats on your win last night! How do you feel?
Thanks a lot man. I feel a bit sour after the full five rounds, but expect to be back at full health in less than a week.
What do you think of your performance? A lot of people were shocked with how you were able to pretty much dominate Balkan during the full five rounds.
It went a lot better than I had expected myself. I knew that I am capable of big things, but everything needs to be right for that. I sticked to the plan and frustrated him. If you look at who has been able to beat him in this years, you see in what elite list I come by doing so. I was pleased with how it went for sure!
I bet your manager is very proud of you! What did he say?

HIGHLAND GAMES 138
UNDERCARD
Jason Smith v Warren Parker – 155lbs
For the first fight of the evening Brazil's Jason Smith takes on Canada's Warren Parker in this lightweight matchup. Both opponents are Jiu Jitsu brown belts and accomplished at finishing fights: the vast majority of their combined victories have come via submission. However, in this instance the expectation is that this bout will go the distance; both fighters are astute Jiu Jitsu practitioners and have plenty of experience in the cage (with 47 appearances thus far between the two of them). Submissions attempts are a given the second this fight hits the floor (and it will), however success is by no means guaranteed. That said, Smith has looked more vulnerable to submissions in the past – Finnish black belt Taitso Antilla was able to lock in the guillotine back in Highland Games 111 but whether Parker can pull off a similar feat here remains to be seen. This will be the second time these two have met, Parker won that fight via unanimous decision thanks to his superior takedowns and sta cont... |

Q: Dear martial arts fans today I will pay a visit to a a rising star in the light heavyweight division of London's Highland Games. Charles Crawley was a participant on the last version of the island. Charles quickly rose through the ranks and was crowned the very first Highland Challengers light heavyweight champion. He soon established himself as a household name defending that belt successfully three times before succumbing to the brutal force of fellow rising star Mel Gordon, the man he beat to win the belt in the first place. He went 1-3 in his last four fights on the island and as a result faded away in the background. Now lost in the shuffle, lurking from the shadows he's looking up, ready to climb the ladder once more on a quest for redemption.

What a better way to follow up a day of warm wishes and love, than with an action packed night of fights. KOTB 23 would see a lightweight title fight, a pair of extremely important middleweight fights, as well as a number of very highly touted newcomers making their debuts.
Opening up the event was a pair of veteran action fighters in our light heavyweight division, as Romania’s Heliade Radulescu took on Fortaleza’s Bruno Santoyo. Radulescu looked poised to win his third straight in the opening moments, pressuring with a strong clinch and opening up a decent cut on his Brazilian opponent after scoring with an elbow and a pair of knees. Radulescu then inexplicitly pulled guard, marking beginning of the end. Santoyo, suddenly wide eyed, passed to half guard and immediately latched onto a kimura and forced the tap in just over 90 seconds of the first round.

Here's the preview to the confirmed fights at our next event.
Py "PyStub" Stub vs. Amani "Man of Steel" Tchokonte
These are two new, undefeated lightweight fighters that are looking to hand each other their first loss. They look evenly matched, but Tchokonte's boxing may make the difference. Py will be looking to take the fight to the ground and make Tchokonte tap out.
Prediction: Tchokonte wins by second round TKO.
Jason "The Grease" Garlo vs. Hamish "The Whale" Moby
This fight is taking place in the middleweight division. Contrary to the first fight, neither of these fighters have won a fight. Garlo will most likely try to take his opponent to the ground and dominate the fight from there.
Prediction: Garlo wins by decision.

An Interview With Alexander “The Inglorious Bastard” Orlov
J.C. “Alex let’s just skip the B.S. and get right down to it, you’ve had 4 different managers in your career. Why?’
Alexander “I have no clue. Maybe they think my chin isn’t what it used to be. Maybe I’m not good enough for them, maybe they think I’m past my prime. There could be a million reasons, but one things for sure, I’m going to prove them all wrong, when I’m a champion again.”
J.C. “You’ve now lost 3 out of your last 4 fights how do you expect to turn it around?”
Alexander “I’m going to train my ass off and improve myself, how else do you think? You damn interviewers are all the same, asking the same questions, expecting the same answers, let’s get into it! Ask me some real damn questions!”
