February 6th, 2016 - London, England, U.K. - Wombley Arena
“The Worlds Most Dangerous” Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (20-12, 7-6 GAMMA) [Legion of Doom] VS. Justin Hunter (14-9, 2-2 GAMMA) [Dab Legends] Lightweight (155)
The main card started out with a relative newcomer, Jack LaBear representative Justin Hunter taking on a man familiar to all GAMMA fans, GSP’s Illegitimate Son’s fighter Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Hunter came out looking to play to his own strengths and take al-Baghdadi down to the ground, but his takedowns were constantly stuffed and reversed, and he ate more than his fair share of shots. Hunter did well to survive the round, and came out with a clinch in mind, pinning al-Baghdadi against the cage before taking him down. Unfortunately, al-Baghdadi is no slouch, and he was able to fend off the attempts to control and even go for a submission against the clearly overwhelmed Hunter. In the third Hunter simply did not have the energy to continue his aggression, and the strong standup attack of al-Baghdadi sent Hunter to the floor and gave him the victory. He must have felt good after breaking the two-fight losing streak he came into this one with, whereas Hunter tasted his first defeat in GAMMA.
RESULT: al-Baghdadi def. Hunt cont...

Journalist: After winning his first 3 fights by way of submission, Lucien Wolf is starting to gain some buzz on the Hawaiian islands. So Lucien, how long have you been training to step into the cage?
Wolf: Honestly for as long as I can remember. On the island fighting is as natural as surfing. It's just something you do. And growing up I was never the biggest kid, so I was drawn towards BJJ and it's been a game changer ever since.
Journalist: When did you decide to make the transition from BJJ to MMA?
Wolf: I was having some success winning local BJJ tournaments, and being the competitor that I am MMA was the next step to test myself and see what I can accomplish.
Journalist: Well going 3-0 is definitely a promising start. Is there any particular opponent that you would like to face for your next opponent?
Wolf: I'm not picky, I will fight whoever UPF puts in front of me. Just keep moving closer to a title shot, that's all I care about.

Dateline Sydney. In a smoke filled Hard knocks Arena, Sydney Fighting Clubs Acceleration 4, a new Heavyweight Champion was crowned. In a short 20 seconds…yes 20 seconds, Damien “The Omen” Thorn unleashed a beating from hell on the former champ Sean McConnor. McConnor’s only savior was the ref stepping in to halt the vicious attack. Thorn was a man possessed throwing jabs and hooks landing some stiff leg kicks, while shutting down McConnor’s ground game then landing a massive overhand right that Satan himself would fear. Thorn a young 22 year old 267 pounder from Devils Lake is taking Sydney by storm. A demonic presence about him makes one wonder if he really cares about winning or just inflicting pain. He is a man of few words and when he does speak he reverts back to his childhood in a sort of unholy playground chant. Only time will tell what lies in store for The Omen but the young fighter is surly making a statement while he is dominating the cont... |

Andrew Knights stable is looking pretty damn impressive as it holds four promising prospects in it. Patrick Knight (Andrew Knight's son), Pablo Kirjinova, Miguel Morales and Frankie Gold.
Patrick Knight had an impressive debut with a 1st round knock out over young upstart Wallace Franco (1-1-0 at the time of the fight.) He followed this up by showing he can go the distance and beating journey man Edgardo Cline to a one sided UD where he controlled every bit of the action.
Pablo Kirjinova's debut answered a lot of questions as he completely dominated journey man Anderson Silfa (0-5-0 at the time.) He was tired but had a rematch 2 days later where he repeated this, handing Silfa his 7th loss.
Miguel Morales had a great debut where he cont... |

Nikita Astakhov is seen heading out of a police station with a angry look on his face and just then a woman working for the Island TV tries to get a interview with him.
Interviewer: Excuse me sir, may i have a interview with you?
Nikita: Sure, i don't care.
Interviewer: So what happened just about 15 minutes ago?
Nikita: Well, as you may have seen, i have shared some heated words with a low life called Tommy Thundercunt who fights in my weight class at Highland Island organization. So, what happened is that a few of his friends started talking shit to me on the street and i just lost it. Jab, jab, cross, left hook and uppercut did the job on the first thug, the other two got hit by some of my monster overhand rights. Boys dropped like a bag of bricks.
Interviewer: Wow, i don't know what to say to that. I'm guessing you're in a bit of a trouble with the law now? What happens next?
Nikita: Haha lady, no worries. The police are cool here on Island. Sure, they restrained me for a bit but after they heard what happened, 2 middle aged officers just laughed and said: "Talk shit, get hit", and just like that i'm out as you see. I think the police don't like Tommy as well.
Interviewer: I had no idea that things worked on Islan cont... |

MAIN CARD
MIDDLEWEIGHT: Doug Pattersson (14-9) vs Friedrich Von Kuschelbar (14-7)
Doug Pattersson has reeled off four straight wins in Legacy after dropping his debut fight to Grado Itsyersel by decision. Pattersson previously fought in the very tough Imperial organization against household names like Ed Gennero and Cid Strife. Pattersson is very tough on the ground, as he possesses great jiu-jitsu and can also deliver ground and pound with the best of them. He certainly needs to shore up his strike defense to become an elite fighter, but he still has a lot of time left in his career. He’ll fight a similar ground oriented fighter in Friedrich Von Kuschelbar. Both of these guys prefer to duke it out on the ground, but Kuschelbar could certainly be the overall better striker on the feet i cont... |
Event Date: 09.04.2016
Location: London
Arena: Wombley Arena
Who is ready for bone crunching punches? Loud crunching slams? The sound of a scream as a submission taps, or the crackle of cartilage as the nose breaks under a devastating right hand? I am, and you can bet you’ll get all that and much much more, on the GAMMA London Pay Per View, live from the Womberly Arena.
We have a tantalising feast of stand up wars, and an ultimate battle of kings for the GAMMA Middleweight Championship belt. I can’t wait for that fight, we know with Richards holding it the fight will at least be entertaining.
Time for blood!
