Reporter: Hello folks, we're here again in lovely Manchester with the local fighting superstar the 2-time and current Omega Fighting Featherweight champion Ahsan Hamed. Welcome Ahsan.
Ahsan: (shakes hand) Thank you Dave, for inviting me into your evening talk show.
Reporter: So, how are you doing, Ahsan? How's your personal life and your career going?
Ahsan: It has been amazing, I have recently proposed to my girlfriend, and we have moved into a nice cosy house to live together instead of living in the flat. Nothing too big, 3 rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a small garden. We've also bought a dog, a german shepherd to be exact, so now I'm living a nice and warm family life. As for my career - I'm awaiting for the biggest fight of my life, waht could be better?Â
Reporter: Congratulations to you for proposing to your various commands. Oh, and about the fight - who and when are you fighting next Ahsan?
Ahsan: My next fight will occur at Novemb cont... |

Tonight on MMA Hype, Jared Asante and Brett Clarke are with LFC owner, James Listerman, to review LFC 3 that just ended. It was packed at Wild Bob’s Bar on Saturday night, and the fighters gave the fans a crazy show that they will remember. Only 1 fight went to a decision, and it was fight of the night, so this is what you want to see as a fan.
Here’s Jared and Brett, along with James Listerman.

First of all I’d like to apologize for the late review, college can take a lot out of somebody. Other than that, Revolution XC 7 was a showcase for two important title fights, with additional good news in the form of the announcement that Andy Fitzgerald signed a new contract before the event occurred. Without further ado, let’s get to the arm twisting, star seeing, Championship Caliber action that only Revolution XC can provide.
“Soul Absorber” Kenshiro Kakashi vs Hank “The Tank” Nellans
Super Heavyweight MMA Action
This was the very definition of an opener. A fight between two low level guys that doesn’t really mean much in the long run, but helps set the tone of the night. Nellans made the mistake of going to the ground and paid the price by getting submitted via Kimura, putting his record at 0-2. Kakashi earned his first win and sits at 1-1.

Vincent Cluster vs Alen Zalac
Preview:
Vincent Cluster is the better fighter here; he is the more well-rounded fighter and on paper wins the fight comfortably by leg kicking and clinching his way to a decision.  Zalac has an excellent chin and a puncher’s chance. Cluster will not be finishing him. I’m gonna be bold and say Zalac cashes in on that puncher’s chance and scores a knockout victory here.Â
Alen Zalac via TKO (Round 2)
Â
Steve Mayweather vs Oscar Gutierrez
Preview:
Both guys have had one fight and lost it. Mayweather was knocked cold in less than 30 seconds; whereas Gutierrez was subbed just inside the first frame. Judging that we have seen a bit Gutierrez’s game, he seems to be a half decent boxer and made h cont... |
GAMMA: Gossip #54
Another great month for GAMMA, in fact it was the greatest ever. We managed to increase our total top 1000 fighter to 94 + 20 in our affiliates, that is a total of 114. Last month we were at 114. Our total top 200 fighters increased to 30 (up by 2) which is also a record.
Just to make a comparison, 6 months ago we had just 97 top 1000 and 18 top 200, one year ago we had 77 top 1000 and 18 top 200.
145lbs Division
Lukasz Wolek regained his title this month, ending his trilogy of Fabian Hoi. Fabian announced his retirement straight after the fight. He was a guy which had some big wins in his career, including big wins outside of GAMMA + the 2 wins via KO over Prado, he also did well in GAMMA against the top contenders with just one loss.
Lukasz will go up against newcomer and former Death Squad champion Kang Xi Jia in his first defense. This will be the biggest test in Kang's career and his first chance to shine in a top level org, so the pressure will be on him.
155lbs Division
Fernando Prado defended his title via a close split decision against Hannibal Barca. This is the 26th decision win Prado has had so far out of the 28 total wins, so he is realy the decision master. He is also ranked 3rd in the ranking for the fighter of the year. Up next is Robin Yount, a fighter which will be 12 years younger going into this fight. Robin is al cont... |
