HFC Fight Night 1 - Pettis vs Gilchrist

Hello hardcore MMA fans!  Welcome to the first ever HFC Fight night!
We're proud to bring you this event from New York!
This card will feature 10 bouts across 6 different divisions, some great young fighters as well as some up and comers looking to establish themselves in the HFC!

Now, lets get started...

Fletcher vs Tau

The first fight of the night will come from our 185 division as Arrow Fletcher (1-0) facing off against Manu Tau (0-1).

Tau is 0-1 in the HFC, and in MMA, but he has a 2-1 record in the TWGC.  A submission specialist with some impressive BJJ skills.  Coming from the TWGC, Tau was not used to facing off against strikers and it cost him as he was quickly KO'd by Paul Stiles in his first HFC event.  Don't count this guy out, if he gets you on the ground, he can make you tap quick!

HFC 1 Genesis

And it begins...

The first chapter of HARDCORE Fighting Championship... Everything else was but a prequel.  And honestly, this is just the warm up in reality.  Big things are coming, these tournaments coming up will shape the start of our glorious HARDCORE heratige and lay the foundation that will mold the HFC into a global brand.

And in the beginning, there was man, and all was good... And then an organisation arose that spread chaos and burtality to all who's path crossed this fearsom place.  Others looked away, crigned by the sight of the bloodshed, snapped bones, and cracked skulls.

This is not a place for the weak, the faint of heart, or those who need to be pampered.  This is the home of those who fight for everything they have, like their lives depend on it, and put it all on the line.  Injuries be damend, only the tough survive.  A place where mans truest, darkest nature is unlea

Wright-Phillps to be free agent?

Fighter profile of Mark Wright Phillps by Coach MinePlay

With a 8-11 record, there is not much time left for Mark Wright-Phillps. The 21 year old english fighter is yet to be in a promotion. and with no one to take him, his mma career could be over soon. Wright-Phillps, had a good start, winning his first two fights and going 8-5 in the span, before losing his last 6 fights and pretty much had people thinking is this end of Wright-Phillps. Wright-Phillps after losing his latest fight said "I need to work harder and earn my place. MMA is a sport that you need to learn from your fights and while I haven't been in my best form. I still do my best, fight my best and work my hardest." Other fighters under his manager, are in trouble of being sacked. Martin Green, 28 has a 3-8 record and has not much time left. And Scott Smith, 28 won his first 5 fights before losing his last 7. Same goes to Kurt Red, but Red's streak is shaky. Losing 12 out of his last 15 fights. But for Mark, 21, there is still time for a turnaround. But without a contract,

Main Event: Samart Payakaroon (2-0-0) vs Death Minister (1-1-0)

This fight features two solid young fighters with bright futures.  First up, undefeated Payakaroon who is 2-0 all time coming off a victory over Taka Cruise in Core Combat III.  In this bout Payakaroon wins via unanimous dicision just as he did his previous fight.  He flourished in the stand up mixing in punches and kicks well and being far more aggressive than Cruise.  Visual proof (and physical for Cruise) of his excelent training in Muay Thai.  I don't know if it was the gameplan going in or if Cruise was trying to play defensively, but this fight could have easily ended in a K.O.  Props to Cruise for hanging in there despite all that punishment.
Facing off against Payakaroon will be Death Minister who is also coming off an impressive win in his last bout at Core Combat IV against Nick Hopkins.  Minister is well versed in the arts of Muay Tha
