HFC Tournament Finals - Review
This was the final round for the HFC Championship and Contender series tournaments (predating HFC/SMASH merger) with the exception of the Middleweight division which had the semi-final round.
A huge shout out to all of these warriors for hanging through this tournament, despite all of the hurdles thrown our way with the merger. Some of these fighters have developed very well and flipped the script from underdog to favorite over the course of this tournament.
Main Event: Jack Waller vs Mystic Marley
To headline this round of the tournament was a bantamweight fight between Jack Waller (6-0) and Mystic Marley (7-1). I fully expected this to be a good fight between two great fighters, but these men went at it with everything they had, and what a fight they put on to cap the night!

Welcome to Madness, Solo!
He worked his way up through the ranks of SMASH and earned a title shot against then champion Feaqeuin Bizihwaeile. After suffering a loss, he went back to work and defeated Miz and Means, only to lose next to Brian Snow. Shortly after that fight, his manager J.W. Hardman aquired SMASH in a blockbuster move merging two of the larger 350k orgs into one org.
Not wanting to find a conflict of interest, J.W. had Solo move to Madness MMA where he was welcomed with open arms. He was given a fight quickly, and Solo went to work. Pissed off at the world after his loss to Snow, and no longer having a chance to avenge it, he focused on his next opponent Paul Smecker.
Knowing Smecker was a striker, and Solo is far superior on the ground, Solo hit the gym and worked on his striking defense with the knowledge that his ground game would be suffice to win the fight if he could get it to the ground.
The fight took place on March cont... |

MAD 40 "Guns Out"
with host Douche McBaggins
Hello again my Madness friends, and what a night of fights it was. MAD 40 "Guns Out" was a remarkable event and backed up every bit of it's hype with some Incredible fights. The Boss insisted that the Performance bonuses will be quadruple the normal earnings as he saluted each and every fighter on the event lineup. There where five Titles on the line, which was the Main Card. We also want to touch on two of the Feature Prelim bouts that where also very important to the Standings at Light Heavyweight. We can start with the Early Prelim results.

Memphis born rapper turned MMA fighter Chrs Travis has made quite the name for himself as of late inside the cage working for Madness MMA. The Fighter known to most by his nickname "Kenshin" has been at Madness since the Montreal based Org started. In fact Chris was apart of the Inaugural League of Madness Tournament that started 9 months ago. One of Team Alex K's Members Kenshin managed to get Knock Out his first opponent in the Tournament but met the eventual winner Mohammed Kahn in his next fight where he himself ended up loosing by KO.
The then light Heavyweight fighter went on to win his next two fights at 205 before deciding to trim down and drop to 185. He made his debut at Middleweight against a savvy vet of Madness in Michael Wackson and Travis made a huge statement in that fight winning in just 10 seconds time by way of TKO and earning himself his first "KO of the Night" bonus as well. Next up for Kenshin was a form cont... |

Wes is a good old country boy from Houston Tx. He never cared much for wrestling bulls and riding broncos, but he was never one to back down from a fight. He carved up several boys in high school, and after school decided he would rather fight than go to collage. You can imagine that made his mother so proud...
At the age of 16, he took his first ammature MMA fight in the QFC and won with a TKO victory. He followed that up with another TKO victory and found himself staring at a contract with WFA. He was in for a rude awakaning as he lost his first two fights in the WFA, but regained his confidence with a beautiful KO over Third Tourn.
Riding the hype of his KO victory, he was given a short notice title shot against champion Dos Anjos, but Dos Anjos made quick work of him submitting him half way through the first round. In his final WFA, he scored another victory against Garrett giving him a 4-3 MMA record.
