Humble Beginnings
Matteo "The Dawg" Ruffy’s rise to MMA stardom began in the challenging streets of Busan, South Korea. Raised by a single mother who worked tirelessly at the fish market, Matteo grew up with an unyielding drive to succeed. As a teenager, he often turned to street fights to channel his frustrations.
During one such fight, Master Jin, a retired Muay Thai champion, recognized his raw potential. Jin took him under his wing, molding Matteo into a disciplined fighter. Matteo’s relentless approach to fighting earned him the nickname "The Dawg," reflecting both his tenacity and his name’s canine sound.
The Dawg’s Unlikely Build
In a sport where fighters often bear the physical toll of battle—crooked noses, cauliflower ears, and disproportionate musculature—Matteo Ruffy is an anomaly. At 183 cm tall and 158 lbs, his physique is lean yet perfectly symmetrical, more reminiscent of a classical sculpture than a hardened MMA brawler. With sharp facial features and a well-groomed, intellectual look, Matteo has earned comparisons to a "Don Juan" of his generation. Fans and critics alike marvel at how he balances the grueling demands of MMA with his seemingly effortless charm and polished appearance.
“He’s proof that beauty and brutality can coexist,” remarked one commentator. Matteo’s aesthetic appeal and magnetic presence have made him a favorite not just in the cage but also in the media, where he’s quickly becoming a global star.
One of his female fan clubs describe Matteo's beauty as a rocket taking you to the moon: "There's so much joy when you look at his face", said the president of the club exclusively to Tycoon Times.
The Journey to MMA
Determined to test his limits, Matteo left Busan for Rio de Janeiro, where he honed his MMA skills. His debut fight set the tone for his career —a devastating knockout that introduced "The Dawg" to the world. Matteo’s aggressive style and unyielding determination make him a relentless force, living up to his nickname both inside and outside the cage. “I fight with the heart of a dog—loyal, fierce, and unyielding,” Matteo said.
Champion in the Making
Now undefeated with a record of 3-0-0 and a lightweight championship belt, Matteo Ruffy stands as one of MMA’s brightest talents. Known for his ferocious TKO victories and his unparalleled symmetry, "The Dawg" is redefining what it means to be an MMA fighter. As he continues his rise, one thing is certain: Matteo’s bite is just as fierce as his bark, and the storm he brings shows no signs of subsiding.

GAMMA has been holding it annual awards going back to to when we started the organization, back in 2009, older that some of the people playing the game today.

+1 point if the fight was a title fight or super fight (between other orgs),
+1 point for fight of the night award.
-In the case there is a draw, we take into consideration total fights in GAMMA during the year (fewer the better)
-In the case of a draw again we take into consideration finishes.
Note: Fight of the night awards are always given to fighters in the top couple of fights on the card, almost always to a title fight or the most hyped fight on the card. Special cases are for KOs or Submission awards, if there is nobody in the main 2-3 fights with a KO or Submission.

Michael "King" Harrison (15-5, 15 KOs/TKOs), known for his devastating knockout power, has accepted a high-stakes challenge from Sunrise FC, setting the stage for a grudge match against their decorated kickboxing champion, Giang Hao (8-2 MMA, 3-0 Kickboxing). The fight will take place after Harrison's upcoming bout against Kaito Tanaka, with Harrison vowing to make Sunrise FC "bow down" after a series of insulting communications directed at his manager by their manager, Tao.
The animosity between Harrison and Sunrise FC ignited after manager Tao sent correspondence to Harrison's manager, implying that Harrison was avoiding a fight with Giang Hao. These communications, filled with insults and accusations of cowardice, infuriated "King" Harrison, prompting him to accept the challenge and sign a unique contract: $0 to show and a staggering $200,000 for a victory, while Giang Hao will receive his standard fight purse regardless of the outcome.
"Tao and Sunrise FC have made a huge mistake," Harrison stated. "They think they can disrespect me behind closed doors and get away with it. After I handle business against Tanaka, I'm coming for Giang Hao, and I'm going to make them all bow down in front of the King. This isn't just about a fight; it's about respect, and I'm putting my money where my mouth is."

JUST FIGHTS, the premier orginization to watch untrained backyard brawlers punch each other for cheap, may have unearthed the next MMA MEGASTAR.
The very creatively named John Cena is a young phenom who has been on a tear narrowly beating unranked cans.According to his very enthusastic 11 year old manager, Will Gegan, HES THE MCGREGOR OF THE DECISION.
I made the mistake of giving him a title shot last week, which he lost and now my inbox is overflowing with daily messages to my inbox that Mr. Cena (not the famous one) deserves another shot at glory.
He's our 28th ranked welterweight..... but we're the business of entertainment so it just might happen. We never claimed to be a legitimate company. |

One of the top up and coming fighters in the country was arrested in today after Tommy Santoro (12-0-0 MMA) picked up by authorities after beating the shit out of a highly skilled regional level fighter and Jiu-Jitsu ace in T Mustana Chai.
A veteran police officer and fellow MMA fighter tipped off leaders of the Marciano crime family about an FBI investigation into their loan sharking, racketeering and money laundering businesses, federal prosecutors said this weekend.
Officer Jason Hightower, and more than a dozen co-defendants were indicted as prosecutors continued their ongoing roundup of reputed Mafia figures. Federal grand juries have indicted dozens of people accused of being South Florida members of the Marciano and Tavares crime families.
"There have been a lot of La Cosa Nostra arrests recently," said Michael J. Tycoon's personal Assistant. "But it isn't part of any special operation. We're just doing what we've always done.
The latest batch of arrests began Wednesday night and continued into Thursday morning. A federal indictment named Tommy Santoro, 25, of Tampa, as the South Florida leader, or "capo," of the Tampa-based crime family once headed by Carmine Santoro Jr., who died in 1997.
Carmine was linked to gambling, extortion, gangland slayings and even plots to kill President Kennedy and Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. Indicted on charges of bribery, racketeering and tax evasion, Santoro Jr. never spent a night in jail on American soil.
The indictment listed 17 associates, mainly from Boca Raton, Pompano Beach, Hollywood and West Palm Beach.
For decades, Santoro controlled gambling and loan sharking in Florida, but his death 13 years ago opened the state to all the New York crime organizations, federal agents have said.
Federal prosecutors, the FBI and local agencies are working closer together to fight organized crime, U.S. Attorney Bob Slay said at a morning press conference.

A Viking Legacy
Born in the historic town of Lund, Sweden, Jason Gates grew up surrounded by the stories and spirit of his Viking ancestors.
Known as "Drengr", a Norse term meaning a brave and noble warrior, Jason embodies the qualities celebrated by his forebears: courage, loyalty, and relentless determination. The nickname reflects not only his heritage but also his character inside and outside the cage.
“My grandfather used to tell me about the Drengr—true warriors who lived with honor and fought with purpose,” Jason explains. “It’s more than a nickname; it’s who I strive to be.”
From a young age, Jason dreamt with these stories, which fueled his vision of becoming a modern-day warrior. For him, every fight is an opportunity to honor the legacy of his ancestors and prove that the Viking spirit lives on.
Forged in Wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu
Jason’s journey as a fighter began on the wrestling mats of his school gym, where he quickly emerged as a standout athlete. His coaches admired his raw strength and unyielding drive, traits often attributed to his Viking lineage. Wrestling laid the groundwork for his dominant grappling style, teaching him control and strategy.
Eager to expand his arsenal, Jason turned to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where he developed a deep appreciation for technique and adaptability. Earning his purple belt, he became a submission specialist, seamlessly blending wrestling’s dominance with Jiu-Jitsu’s precision. His relentless training forged him into a grappler feared by his opponents and respected by his peers.
A Champion Rises
Guided by manager Smoke Makunouchi, Jason transitioned into MMA with the same determination that fueled his rise in grappling. Boasting a 4-1 record, with all victories coming via submission, Jason has already claimed the welterweight title. His fights are a testament to his mastery of the ground game, where his opponents often find themselves overwhelmed by his unrelenting pace and skill.
Now, as "Drengr" Jason Gates, he steps into the cage not just as a fighter but as a modern embodiment of the Viking warrior. With every victory, Jason proves that the spirit of the Drengr is alive and thriving, inspiring fans and fighters alike. |
