Odinson and George: Hypnotic FC

Editorial by Ceasar Tomson

It’s a beautiful day in Los Angeles and I step into a gym with fighters all looking like they have bad intentions for their next opponent. I have stepped into the Let’er Buck Gym and I’m looking for two rising Super heavyweights. I found them in the ring sparring with each other, looking to take each other’s heads off. I gave them a minute to cool down so I could conduct my interview, they are Thorin Odinson and Matthew George.

Hello Gentleman and how are we doing?
George: Fine thank you.
Odinson: Pissed off but ok.

Now that’s what I’m here to talk about. You two both train here at Let’er Buck, you’re both part of Hypnotic FC, and your both in the super heavy weight division how does that work for you two.
George: It works fine, Thorin here has only had two fights in Hypnotic I am actually the one to try to get him to come over I thought it would be a better feel for him here than at his previous organization. I on the other hand have fought my whole career here and it has been a great fit for me.
Odinson: Well just cause you have two horses that can run in the Kentucky derby doesn’t mean you take one out 'cause you own them both does it? It’s been great with Hypnotic FC and I just won the superheavyweight title so yea it’s been great. After I destroy everyone here I may go back to Cage Wars LA and destroy everyone there.

Okay now I was there at HFC 31 and you lost to Kevin Trout in the fifth round by t

Review of AFC 20: Bowron vs Koontz

Event Review: AFC 20: Bowron vs Koontz
Asylum Fighting Championship
2011-12-31, London, Paddy O'Malleys Bar - London
Attendance:700, Event Rating:101
Author:Jonny Dixon

185 lbs.: Jason Koontz def. Ryan Bowron via TKO (knees), 4:03 of round 1
Spectacular victory for Mr Koontz. Jason came out into the fight with very predictable gameplan based on his wonderful muay-thai skills. From the beginning the 19-year old was keeping a safe distance where from he kept scoring points with quick strikes. Ryan Bowron was helpless in stand up, he wasn’t able to catch Koontz’s leg and take him down. Finally, after two minutes of domination Jason has shortened the distance and he managed the clinch. He threw a bunch of sharp knees right to Bowron’s head and body, smashing him under the fence. Jiu-jitsu brown belt was fighting for his life, but Koontz was ruthless and he finally ended the fight with another knee to the head.

170 lbs.: Eric Bing def. Simon Williamson via unanimous decision, 5:00 of round 5
Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve got a new welterweight champion! Eric Bing has showed big class defeating so far undisputed title holde

Boomerang!! Kickboxing Tournament Uncovered!

Editorial by Boomerang !!

Rumors were swirling around that Boomerang!! in Sydney has been recruiting fighters to be in an openweight kickboxing division. Tycoon Times reporters caught up with Boomerang!! top Light Heavyweight Andrei Marshall (10-5-1) who confirmed some of the rumors. "I know something's going on, but when I offered my services to Boomerang!! as a kickboxer I was told that my services were preferred as a MMA fighter for now. I didn't get it, they want to be an elite company, I AM an ELITE fighter, so if they are starting a kickboxing division why not include me?". Messages left for many Boomerang!! managers went without a response and when commentator Chase Johnson answered his cell phone he simply laughed while saying "You better be sure to watch Boomerang!! and stock up on gear from MMA Animal, because IT'S ABOUT TO GET REAL!" and disconnected his line still laughing with what sounded like numerous women in the background.

Finally, just as Tycoon Times reporters were running out of sources and no closer to confirming the story, we ran into new fighter Daryl The Zombie Killer (

An Interview with Alphons Draclau

Fighter profile of Alphons Draclau by Speedy Gonzaitev

Tonight we have an exclusive interview with one of the most prized fighters from the famous slider wizard Lord Rayden, this man needs no introduction but I will give him one anyway.  He is the current East Coast MMA bantamweight champion of the world, and riding a nine fight win streak, Mr. Alphons Draclau!

Alphons Draclau came from tragic beginnings. He was born into a humble farming family in a small town in Andorra called Murond Glabados. At the age of 10 his father and mother died for a tragic disease that swept over the area. He was taken in by the church. He spent the rest of his childhood learning the way of the lord. At the age of 16 he decided to take up the sport of wrestling as a means to meet new people. It was there he met his friend and now training partner Pete Ruent. It was like a calling from God. He took to wrestling like no other sport. Within 2 years he felt like I was one of the best wrestlers in the world and no one could stop him with god on his side. At the age of 18 Alphons met Lord Rayden, who at that time was managing 3 of the best fighters in the world, and coming off a TUM 1 managing win, who wanted to become Alphons manager and want him to compete in TUM 2. Alphons decided to test those skills in what was supposed to be the biggest 135 prospect tournament in the world.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy training schedule to speak with me Mr Draclau
The pleasure is mine.

Starting with your first fight in TUM up to your fourth fight how do you think each fight went, what were you working on before and after each fight, and how far were you thinking you could go in this tournament?
The first fight I really wanted to test out my hands and try not to use my wrestling as much. It was a lot closer

Red Wolf: An Introduction of a World Class Boxer

Fighter profile of Red Wolf by General Mills

Age: 23 Height: 168 cm Weight: 150 lbs Hometown: Forks Base: Los Angeles Record: 2-0-0 Key to Victory: World Class Boxer

Red Wolf is a fresh energetic fighter coming out of Forks, Washington. He is considered a World Class Boxer at the age of 23, and boasts the impressive physical skill of having Elite boxing. Although it is obvious that his primal natural ability is in the stand up, he claims his skills are beyond what’s visible and that he should not be underestimated in any capacities as an all-around up and coming MMA fighting machine. He answered a few questions for his fans after his fight on Christmas day.

First, congratulations on your recent win by KO, Red Wolf. What is the meaning of your name, Red Wolf?
Thanks. Red wolves are a smaller species of wolves and survive extinction. I am strong and athletic, but I also fight with grace.

That’s great. You just came off two straight victories. These were experienced fighters. What were your keys to winning?
I don’t let the fighters intimidate me. I know how important it is to defend yourself. I already have the skill to take someone out with one punch, but it’s about staying cool during the match.

You obviously have the stand up skills to win. Can you succeed against a strong BJJ fighter, let’s say a black belt?
I just knocked out an experienced brown belt. Any fighter with sensational skills and abilities will be a force to reckon with, but there are always ways of winning. I focus on what I can do, not what I can’t.

Your first fight lasted 3 rounds. Where do you get your energy?<

Q & A with Caleb Smith

About Me:

So, a little intro to this piece: I asked a few friends to ask me questions and I wrote them down and responded.
I'd like you guys to send me some questions for my next article...

Q-Am I the only person a little unimpressed with how Jon Jones dropped Lyoto Machida to the floor when the ref stopped the fight?  He said after that he knew he was out so what is wrong with carefully lowering him to the ground?

A: I understand that long term consumption of mixed martial arts can desensitize people to violence, but not until the rise of Jon Jones have I seen such compelling evidence of MMA's ability to make people oversensitive.  Jones knocked Lyoto Machida around with punches, he split his face open with an elbow and when he saw fit, he strangled him unconscious with a choke. However, what fans seem to really take umbrage with was the fact that Jones abruptly released the choke at the behest of referee "Big" John McCarthy.
When a referee puts their hands on a fighter and calls an end to a bout, his or her immediate responsibility is to ensure that both competitors disengage. When John McCarthy called an end to the UFC 140 main event, he instructed Jones to release a guillotine choke, and Jones acquiesced.  Releasing the choke was Jones' responsibility as a competitor, as was following the instructions of the referee; the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion did both.
Whether or not anyone wants to take that incident and draw conclusions about Jones' personality is their prerogative and I won't begrudge them for it in the slightest. But given the heinous beating that left Lyoto Machida lifeless in the arms of Jones in the first place, I think it's a bit silly to focus on what Jones did after the fact.

Q;-Dana White just fired Miguel Torres for tweeting a joke about rape, so why is it okay for him to tweet a rape joke after his firing?

A: First of all, anyone familiar with the timeline of UFC President Dana White knows that he regularly goes off on Twitter trolls in that fashion. Dana White being rude, abrasive, and/or vitriolic in a public forum isn't news at this point. Second of all, it isn't any more appropriate for Dana White to tweet rape jokes than Miguel Torres, but to act as though both "jokes" are equally offensive would be fairly disingenuous.
The "joke" that got Miguel Torres fired was essentially a thought on how to improve the effectiveness of "rape vans." Without the context provid

From the Abyss He Comes

Fighter profile of Devil Jho by Speedy Gonzaitev

At the start of this calendar year, I had entered myself into the first ever Tycoon World Cup, and I was scouring the globe in search of a promising prospect to enter into it. Then on my trip through Uganda I found him. The ground was shaking for what seemed like hours, then I saw a figure crawling out of a fissure in front of me. Being the curious one, I cautiously made my way over to this strange young man with hair coming up to a point on the top of his head, and a soul patch that doubles as a goatee. When I asked for his name he told me it was Devil Jho, and that he came from the underworld which he only called the abyss. From there I took him to Tokyo where he signed a contract with ONI who was running a branch of the Tycoon World Cup. From his first day in the gym he shocked me with his ferocity, technical boxing skills and most of all, his unbreakable chin. He sparred with heavyweights and never went down; rumor on the street is that Son Goku brought Jho into hi
