Editorial by Micky Ward (Mark Wahlberg) is an American welterweight boxer from Lowell, Massachusetts. Managed by his mother, Alice Ward (Melissa Leo), and trained by his older half-brother, Dicky Eklund (Christian Bale), Micky has not had a particularly successful career: He's become a "stepping stone" for other boxers to defeat on their way up. Complicating matters, Dicky, a former boxer whose peak of success was knocking Sugar Ray Leonard down in an HBO televised match, has fallen apart since then, becoming addicted to crack cocaine. He is now being filmed for an HBO documentary he believes to be about his "comeback".
On the night of an undercard fight in Atlantic City, Micky's scheduled opponent is ill, and a substitute is found who is 20 pounds heavier than Micky. Despite Micky's reservations, his mother and brother agree to the terms so that they can all get the purse. Micky is soundly defeated by the much heavier fighter in an obvious mismatch. Frustrated with his career and embarrassed by his defeat, Micky tries to retreat from the world and forms a relationship with Charlene Fleming (Amy Adams), a former college a cont... |

Freddy: Hey ya Igor. Welcome to the show.
Crazy: [Smiles] Thanks freddy, it's nice being here with you.
Freddy: Well thank you, sir. So Igor, why don't you tell your fans a little about "The" Crazy outside of fighting and training. What is the everyday Igor like?

Muhammad Ali is one of the most famous boxers of all time. His conversion to Islam and draft evasion conviction surrounded him with controversy and even exile from boxing for three years. Despite the hiatus, his quick reflexes and strong punches helped Muhammad Ali become the first person in history to win the heavyweight champion title three times. At the lighting ceremony at the 1996 Olympics, Muhammad Ali showed the world his strength and determination in dealing with the debilitating effects of Parkinson's syndrome.

Here with you is your host Capelli King for yet another edition of you know what, GAMMA Gossip! I am in this week a little early to cover our main super fight this week which is John Galt v Denton Thunder!
Unlike other editions, i will be covering all the fights in the order of hype/popularity and i will focus on just fights among 2 top 1000 p4p fighters only, so lets get started with last weeks main fight reviews!
Reviews
Jorge Cruz v Kuiskaaja Rajantakaa
This fight ended in spectacular fashion! "The old boy" Jorge Cruz has proven that he is not ready to go away despite his age and ended his 3rd out of 4 fights with a TKO/KO, getting his revenge over Kuiskaaja which beat him with a decision last summer. Kuiskaaja has been on a very poor run as of late and this has moved him out of the top echelons, at least temporarily, whereas Jorge is going places and will get his big chance against Kenichi Shirahama.
Kenichi Shirahama v Jt Colossus
Kenichi got a warm welcome to GAMMA last weekend when Jt Colossus did what he does best with an early "Huge punch combo". Kenichi had his moments on the ground in the 1st round, but was unable to get the submission. Jt only landed 6 strikes in the whole fi cont... |

Last Monday on Vicious Challengers 12 in Helsinki we saw Xavier Gracie winning his third straight fight when he faced well-rounded striker Victory Agu. Victory Agu started out strong with a barrage of kicks and stopped Gracie’s takedown attempts but Gracie was determined and countered a kick with a huge takedown, when the fight hit the ground it was all she wrote.
Victory Agu didn’t stop scrambling but Gracie’s BJJ reigned supreme as he quickly and efficiently put a stop to Agu’s 5 fight winning streak. The dominating performance earned him a submission of the night bonus and a possible title shot in the near future.
After the fight I asked him about his future and the possibility of a title shot, this is what he had to say.
“My goal right now is winning as many matches as possible and hopefully retire as a bad-ass champion with a long winning streak. Is this a realistic goal? cont... |

Hello everybody im “Sunshine” Weston Markson accompanied by my co host Rudy “The Box” Knife, were here to bring you HMMA 81’s preview. The event is headlined by a Heavyweight title fight between two great warriors. The CO-MAIN event is between two lightweight contenders which will surely clear up the title picture a little more. The card is great there are a lot of studs on this one but who doesn’t love title fights, number one contender matches, and HoF fighters gracing the HMMA cage?
Rudy: Weston I suggest you shut your mouth clearly you didn’t mention the most important fight of the night…….”The Gracie Killer” Masahiko Kimura makes an appearance on the big show! This event is live and on PPV from the Camden conference center in London where 7000 fans are expected to be booing “The Gracie Killer” as he looks to take another fighters limbs home with him.
Weston: You would mention that person. Obviously you are really excited for that fight, I think the fight im most excited for outside of the Main events, is the Mike Hunt and High Voltage fight. It should be a great fight between two top contenders in the division. cont... |
