HMMA 42 Fury v Nixon II Preview|Sorry its late|

Event Preview: HMMA 42 Fury v Nixon II
HEROIC
2012-11-18, London, Hard Knocks - London
Author:

Hello everyone I just wanted to say im sorry this preview is out a little late and smaller then normal, as many of you know my grandmother (who raised me) has been fighting brain and lung cancer, this week she lost her battle.   I have not had much time to write the preview as a result.

Hello everyone its me again Weston Markson with Rudy Knife to do another HMMA preview.  On Sunday November the 18th HMMA invades Hard Knocks London for a night full of fights that are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

MAIN EVENT

Nick Fury (10-3-1)  v  David “Nefarious” Nixon (6-5)

Weston:  The main event is a long awaited rematch, between to great 185lb fighters and HMMA veterans.  In early April of 2012 David Nixon was on the biggest win streak of his career after winning 4 straight and making serious strides as a contender in the middleweight division.   Hopes were high for Nixon and he needed a new challenge, that’s when HMMA newcomer Nick Fury stepped up in his first fight with the organization to take on one of the rising stars, Fury came in also as a rising star after winning four straight fights himself.  The battle to see who would win the fight straight was one of the best fights of the year seeing Nixon come out strong and secure the first two rounds, Fury behind on the score cards came out for the 3rd round looking to end the fight any way he could.  After being controlled on the ground for two rounds early in the 3rd Fury hit Nixon with a barrage of fight ending strikes.   Now  seven months later both fighters get the chance to do it again, Nixon looking for revenge on the man who put a small hiccup in his career, and Fury a chance to end things the way he started for more on that  here is Rudy.

Rudy:  Weston the original fight between these two guys was one of the best fights and comebacks of the year, and the second one we can expect the same.  Fury has let it be known that he is taking a break from fighting after this fight.  Rumors have been rampant as to why he is doing so.  “Fury is having surgery on his neck one fan of his proclaimed”, “He is going to star in a movie” another said, “Porn, he wants to do porn” another joked, one fan event went as far as to say “Hey its almost December of 2012, doesn’t this guy have a world to save or something?”  One thing is for sure I caught up with Nick and he told me “ I am taking a trip to the Monk Monestary”  the question is whether or not its true and what It means.   I for one agree with the fan who thinks Fury might need to save the world from the ending gloom of December 21, 2012.

Prediction:  I predict a very close fight again.  Nixon has improved a lot since the last fight but Fury can end it with one strike at any moment so ill give him the nod.

CO-MAIN EVENT

“Blood” Flo Tinaway (6-4)  v  Stephan Walter (10-7)

WESTON:  When these two welterweights hit the cage for the co-main event Sunday you can expect to have no clue what is going to happen.  These two journey men will be looking to make a run in the division and get back on track.  This outcome will be curious because this is a fight between two guys who have often been on the brink of making it to the next level of competition.   Both of these guys have a big fan base that will be following there fighter to see which makes the jump and picks up an all to important win.

Rudy:  Weston what he have here are two guys who FINISH fights, that Is how these two have gained such a huge fan base.  Out of the 16 wins between these two 15 have ended in a finish.  10 of those 15 have been by submission.  Although Tinaway holds an advantage on the ground Walter shouldn’t be underestimated there.  I expect Tinaway to make every attempt at dragging Walter to the ground to work on submissions.  Walter on the other hand has a significant advantage standing and will most likely try to take advantage by keeping the fight standing and testing the chin of Tinaway.

Prediction:  Simple two predictions, if the fight stays standing Walter wins, if it goes to the ground Tinaway wins.
