EMMA 13 is another one of our famous and often anticipated charity events which are known for providing up and comers a nice chance to show the fans in Montreal what they are capable off. Unlike most charity events, however, the fans will be getting a title defense as Ray Oliver, one of EMMA's most promising champions, is defeding his belt against Raekwon the Chef. Lets take a closer look at some of the fights on the card!

Ray Oliver vs Raekwon the Chef   This fight will be the end of an undefeated carreer for one of the two fighters as both guys are coming in to the bout with an undefeated record. Oliver (7-0) has been the EMMA champ since NLFL 11 (former EMMA name) where he beat Marcus Davis by armbar. Oliver is an exciting fighter having finished all his fights by submission and 6 of his 7 in the first round. He has a slick submission game and is a very competent wrestler which makes him a tough match up for anyone. Oliver comes into this fight with a lot of momentum and the Chef will need to bring his A game if he wants to take that 155 lbs belt home. The Chef (3-0, 2 KOs) has a lot less experience than oliver, esspecially in 5 round fights, but does bring a strong arsenal into the bout. He has strong boxing and good wresteling to keep the fights where he wants them and a brown belt in BJJ on top of that! The Chef started off looking for the takedown and going for submissions but has since developed good standup skills which has paid dividends. The Chef has a pretty big advantage both in boxing and in BJJ and could possible edge Oliver in Muay Thai and wresteling as well. If the Chef can keep cool and not be nervous he should be able to beat up Oliver anywhere the fight goes but it would be unwise to count out our 155lbs champ. Nonetheless, i think The Chef will be to much for Oliver. Pick: Raekwon the Chef via unanimous decision    Al Fassak vs Cael Shaughnessy   In our co-main event two lightweigh contenders will scrap it out in a bout that could very well determine the next challanger for the EMMA 155 lbs belt. Both Fassak (5-1) and Shaughnessy (5-0) have impressed in their previous fights but this is without a doubt the most important fight of their respective carreers. Fassak has been with EMMA his entire carreer with his only setback coming to our current champ, Ray Oliver. He brings a solid muay thai game into the cage and the wresteling chops required to keep the fight standing. Interesteling, however, his 3 finishes have come by submission in fights where it didnt look like it would be going his way. He has openly stated on numerous occasions he wants thats Oliver rematch and he needs to win this fight if he wants to get that shot. Shaughessy has also been with EMMA since his pro debut and most recently defeated Drogba with a devistating KO. Shaughessy has strong boxing and wresteling which he uses in reverse to keep the fights standing. Both fighters are pretty even when it comes to wresteling and grappling and both fighters are better in stuffing takedowns than landing them which should provide an exciting standup fight. Fassak has yet to show he can really use his striking in the cage while Shaughnessy has proven his KO power. Pick: Cael Shaghnessy via KO   Chong Zhu vs Going Nutz   The first fight of the night should also bring fireworks as two EMMA bantamweights look to make a statement in the 135 lbs division outside of the tourney. Chong Zhu (3-0, 2 KOs) is making his EMMA debut after rattling of 3 wins in the QFC, finishing his 2 most recent fights by KO in the first round. He brings dangerous Muay Thai into the cage and has proven he knows how to use it. In the event a fight goes to the ground, Zhu also has a purple belt in BJJ to keep him out of trouble and perhaps but his opponents in some trouble of their own off off his back. Nutz (7-2) had his 5 fight win streak snapped by valerio Bertoto in the first round of the EMMA 135 lbs tourney and will be looking to bounce back in his third EMMA fight. Nutz is a very strong grappler and brings a purple belt in BJJ as well as tough wresteling into the cage making him a tough match up for anyone. His striking is, however, still very undeveloped and he will have to take Nutz down if he wants to spoil Nutz's debut. Zhu will most likely not be able to stuff Nutz's takedowns as this is a part of his game he has yet to develop, if Zhu does not catch Nutz early on with a big kick or something along those lines we are in for a grappling match. The BJJ is pretty even but Nutz's wresteling could help him grind out a decision although both his losses have come by submission. Zhu has yet to submit someone so it will be intersting to see if he can pull it off. Pick: Going Nutz via unanimous decision   The other fights on the card are:   170 lbs Bobby Digital v Ryan Prevost         170 lbs Ryann Prevost v Hendrik Daross         170 lbs Jens Weber v Jay Dunne         135 lbs Sebastian Giovinco v Jason Mato         205 lbs Aah GG v Clyde Dixon         170 lbs Craken Skulls v Jorik Berger         205 lbs Peter Poirier v Kevin Dolce       The Hellraiser alliance is known for their charity events as not only a way to promote young and up and coming fighters but also to help out our alliance members in terms of finances. The EMMA 13 profits will go to Roman Dzolic to thank him for his support to the small but close Hellraiser alliance based out of Hilo, Hawai.    Lets SCRAP! Enoy the show! PM me, Maximillian Marks, if you would like to get a pre or post fight interview with your EMMA 13 fighter posted.
