Fighter profile of The Game by Brazilian prospect Evangelista "Pitbull" Nunes [166004] fell short in his mma debut this past week on the QFC circuit. Nunes was having his way with fellow debutant Vassiliy Kozin as he lit him up with a wide array of kicks that had the fans in attendance wondering what was still keeping the BJJ brown belt Vassiliy Kozin on his feet. Nunes landing a number of head kicks and a flashy spinning back kick in the second round. It looked inevitable that Kozin would get knocked out sooner or later but he managed to take Nunes down at the midway point of the second round and advance to mount. From there he took Nunes' back but Kozin was struggling to lock up the choke and as the clock ran down it looked like Nunes was going to survive until the second round. But with the official time of the submission coming at 4:59 of the second round Nunes was agonisingly made tapout in the last second of the round. Nunes was visibly fuming when he realised how little time was left in the round when he tapped but he showed great potential in this fight and showed just how devastating his kicks are.
