Hello everyone I am “Sunshine” Weston Markson and now that The Rock has left the studio im here with Rudy “The Box” Knife to preview HMMA 64. This card is full of huge fights with title implications and standings amongst the top of the divisions. This card has a title fight, and a HMMA Hall of Famer gracing the cage, if these are not fights your interested in there are so many more great matchups that will find your intrigue.

Rudy: That’s right Weston, now that I am able to talk I wanted to say I can not wait for this weekend. 40 of HMMA’s best will take their spot inside the cage and do battle for supremacy in the divisions. HMMA 64 is a great card itself but this weekend both cards are live on PPV and its going to be huge!

Main Event

Fedor "Cannon" Vladimirov (11-3) v Dick "The Zombie" Niaz (11-2)

Weston: The main event of HMMA 64 is a heavyweight clash between two of the divisions biggest stars. HMMA fans are familiar with the name Dick Niaz, Niaz has been among the best in the division for a while, and has even competed in a number one contenders fight against the former champion. That is Niaz’s only loss in HMMA and if he had one maybe we would be calling him the former champion right now, after that fight Niaz went on a three fight win streak, now looking to improve that streak to four and possibly earn a shot at the title, but to do so he must welcome to the HMMA cage Fedor Vladimirov. Fedor may be a newcomer to HMMA but he isn’t a new to fighting. Fedor has been in several high profile fights and comes into this fight on a 5 fight win streak and one of those wins was against the man challenging for the championship Saturday. Fedor may have title hopes and could very well see the title in his grasp, Sunday he will have to make sure he doesn’t look past Niaz on his way to the title aspirations.

Rudy: Weston this one is going to be awesome, rumors backstage have this fight as the #1 contenders fight in the Heavyweight division , both of these guys are on a huge roll and are picking up more and more steam. The matchup here is highly intriguing as both men are so good in every area of the fight game. Fedor has never had a fight go to decision and all but 3 of his fights have ended in the first round so this should be an exciting fight. Fedor also has 11 wins by (t)KO . Niaz is also typically an exciting fighter with 9 of his 11 wins being finishes, but what sets Niaz apart from Fedor is that his ground game is just as offensive as it is defensive with 4 submission victories, and 5 wins by (t)KO Niaz is a threat wherever the fight goes. I will be interested in if Niaz tries to get this fight to the ground even though both men are brown belts he may have an advantage there, or if he will decide to stand and bang it out with the dangerous striker and knockout artist.

Prediction: This will be close but I think Fedor takes the fight unless NIaz can escape the power and tire out Fedor in the latter rounds. Fedor by KO.

CO-MAIN EVENT

Billy "Danzinie" Danze (13-4) v Gun Slinga (11-5)

Weston: The CO-MAIN event is another heavyweight fight between two of the divisions most exciting fighters. Danzinie is one of Wilson’s favorite GNP fighters but has split his record while in HMMA going 2-2. Those two losses were against HoF fighter French Toast the former two time champion, and to the current #1 contender Mr. Stigu. Despite the two losses to the divisions top talents he still finds himself one of the best. Now Danze looks to do what no fighter has done in HMMA and defeat Gun Slinga. The winner of this fight may find themselves just one or two wins away from a title shot. I know Rudy is a big fan of both of these men so without further ado.

Rudy: Thank you Weston its true I am a huge fan of both Danzinie, and Slinga these to men are the embodiment of what I love. They are both great fighters that never want the fight to last long, they go all out and try to finish the fight. 22 of the 24 wins these two men have were finished. Either of these men are dangerous but they pick up their wins in different ways, this is a classic matchup between striker and grappler. Slinga tends to keep the fight standing and look for the standing KO, while Danze will look to wrestle Slinga to the ground and work GNP and submissions. This is a fight that could be fight of the year.

Prediction: Honestly I have no clue there is no clear cut favorite, im slightly leaning towards Danze by GNP tko.

"Hurricane" Rubin Carter (16-2) v "The Sterilizer" Jean Pierre Babin (14-4) 185 lbs title

Weston: Now the last fight on the main card is a continuation of the 5 title fights weekend, this being the final title fight of the weekend for the vacant middleweight title. Unfortunately by now we all know the story of how the title was vacated, but looking past that these are two guys who were the best in the division outside of the champion. Rubin Carter comes into this fight as one of the most dominant middleweights in the world, on a ten fight win streak and looking like a potential top champion in the making. Carter has beat 4 very good fighter by decision since joining HMMA and looks to make Babin the next W on his long list of Wins. Babin earned his title shot by beating the former two time champion, and Hall of Fame fighter Sparbot in his HMMA debut. Babin has been feared by so many and avoided by some of the best in the division. Now he gets his chance to show if he is the best middleweight in HMMA. Most people have Babin as a favorite going into this fight, but I have been highly impressed with “The Hurricane” his life struggles have made him a fighting man and he can not be counted out in this fight.

Rudy: I will agree that Rubin Carter should not be counted out and actually I have him as a favorite in this fight, im in the minority here but I think he will win this fight. Rubin has proven he can strike with the best and will not be intimidated by Babin. I expect him to take the fight too Babin and force Babin to take the fight to the ground. Both of these guys have good skills everywhere as Carter has shown in the past he is not afraid to mix it up and take the fight to the ground himself. Anything could happen in this fight but I think this one could last giving the fans a long lasting entertaining fight and starting a legacy for the winner as a champion.

Prediction: I think Rubin wins it by decision or late TKO.

Bill Cutting v Fu Manchu
