UPF 24: Dee vs. Zero is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by Ultimate Pit Fighting on March 2, 2013 at the widely popular Hayashi's Lounge in Hilo, Hawaii.

Background

Heavyweight contender Sub Zero seems to be destined for greatness. He has claimed championship status in both the King of the Cage promotion as well as the Vale Tudo Ignite promotion. In both instances he claimed the title by dramatically knocking out his opponent which made him hugely popular with the fans. It is safe to say that with another win on his record, he could find himself challenging for the UPF title as well.

Also fighting to stake his claim for glory, Roz Dee could very easily be staring through the gates to the championship crown. Roz Dee is a fighter's fighter. He is a man that doesn't fight to score points or win fans: he fights to finish. This is evident in all of his fights as it's either finish him or be finished by him. He is extremely versatile as well; four of his victories have come via brutal knockout and one by submission.

Official fight card

Main Card

-[Heavyweight bout] Roz Dee (5-4) (2-0 UPF) vs. Sub Zero (16-8) (1-0 UPF)

-[Preview] The well rounded Roz Dee takes on perennial knockout artist Sub Zero in a battle to determine the number one contender for the heavyweight title.

-[Heavyweight bout] Feodor King (5-4) (2-3 UPF) vs. Lincoln Burrows (7-4) (5-4 UPF)

-[In this epic clash of striker versus submission specialist, each man's strength is the vulnerable downfall of the other. Feodor King has fought the who's who of heavyweight opponents but he has never faced anybody like the dangerous Lincoln Burrows. Every single one of Lincoln's victories have come by way of knockout. Don't blink! This fight could be over in an instant!]

-[Light-heavyweight bout] Willie Leak (6-4) (5-3 UPF) vs. Jimmy Stone (5-3) (4-3 UPF)

-[Preview] Willie Leak has a tall task ahead of him in his fight against Jimmy Stone. Leak's best asset is his Jujitsu base which he will likely need to use to overcome the overwhelming Muay Thai of his opponent.

-[Heavyweight bout] Arnold Vegh (11-5) (2-1 UPF) vs. Frank Dunham (3-7) (3-7 UPF)

-[Arnold Vegh will take on UPF veteran and former title challenger Frank Dunham in an action packed match. Vegh has the wrestling and the submission skills to put Dunham in trouble in this fight. If Dunham can keep it standing, he could easily win this fight.]

-[Bantamweight bout] Tim Jacobs (3-2) (3-2 UPF) vs. Darrius Styles (6-5) (1-1 UPF)

-[In this grappling heavy contest, both men will put their pedigree on the line. In such a talent-thin division, a win here could easily propel either man into title contention if it's decisive enough.]

Preliminary Card

-[Bantamweight bout] George Santos (12-8-1) (3-4 UPF) vs. Joseph Ely (2-1) (2-1 UPF)

-[The Muay Thai specialist, George Santos, will take on the well rounded Joseph Ely in an attempt to achieve greatness.]

-[Middleweight bout] Zack Barch (0-0) (N/A) William Adama vs. (2-0) (N/A)

-[Two UPF newcomers will make their debut. Zach Barch is also making his professional debut here. Zack has a blue belt in Jujitsu which may be the deciding factor against the undefeated striker.]

-[Light-heavyweight bout] Chris Harrington (5-4) (3-3 UPF) vs. Dave Sarchet (0-0) (N/A)

-[In another Muay Thai-versus-Jujitsu match, Chris Harrington looks to get back to the win column against the newcomer, Dave Sarchet.]

-[Middleweight bout] Henkka Reem (2-0) (N/A) vs. Buddy Stevens (2-6) (0-3 UPF)

-[Henkka Reem will look to put on a big show and make a statement in his fight against the experienced but underwhelming Buddy Stevens. A loss here for Reem would be devastating.]

-[Heavyweight bout] Kirk Joseph (1-0) (1-0 UPF) vs. James Ortiz Jr (3-22) (0-3 UPF)

-[Can Kirk Joseph pull out another quick submission against the experienced James Ortiz Jr?]
