Author's Note: Troy McClure insists that he is getting the hang of this “MMA stuff” and has asked to be given one more writing gig. Feel free to write in if his laughably childish outlook on the sport is too offensive to read further. Thank you for your patience.

Official Fight Results

-[Lightweight bout]: Tomi Atomi def. Juan Tamad via Submission (Guillotine) at 6:58 of round 2.

-[Review]: In a very close fight, Juan Tamad appeared to be on his way to a very clean unanimous decision. He locked in all of the takedowns and was working his ground game nicely but Tomi Atomi showed that he is always a threat. Tomi Atomi surprised Tamad when he locked in that guillotine which secured him the win.

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Forrest Griffin def. Rampage Jockson via Unanimous Decision.

-[Review]: Occasionally fights get recreated as Griffin outpaced and outlasted the storm that is Rampage Jockson. Jockson's offensive wrestling put Griffin in a bit of trouble early but he just couldn't quite secure a finish. Griffin weathered the storm and landed enough strikes to earn him a dominant decision.

-[Welterweight bout]: Bruce Do def. Cub Galloway via TKO (Strikes) at 0:52 of round 2.

-[Review]: Former AJFC welterweight champion showcased his dangerous ground game with constant pressure, the threat of submissions, and powerful ground strikes. He overwhelmed Galloway before finishing him with strikes in the second.

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Wanderlei Silva def. Archie Bell via Unanimous Decision.

-[Review]: Another AJFC vet, Wanderlei Silva, played the game carefully to avoid the ground game of Archie Bell. Bell is dangerous because he has very good hands and is also very dangerous on the ground. Wanderlei played it safe, picked his shots, and outworked Bell en route to a unanimous decision.

-[Heavyweight bout]: Russell Jones def. Olivin St Daintoro via KO (Punch) at 0:36 of round 1.

-[Review]: St Daintoro came out super aggressive in an attempt to overwhelm Jones early. Unfortunately for him, he suffered the consequences of this style when he got caught with a counter right hand. Daintoro faded quickly which made it child's play for a striker like Jones who quickly turned out the lights.

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Rocky The Hitman def. Randy Coature via Submission (Strikes) at 8:18 of round 1.

-[Review]: Former AJFC top contender Randy Coature put forth a valiant effort to stop the relentless game plan of Rocky The Hitman. Rocky scored a takedown early and quickly found himself beneath the stifling top game of Coature. After a quick referee standup, Randy seemed to take control with his boxing style pot shots. But The Hitman was not to be denied; he scored another takedown and this time advanced to mount as quickly as he could. Once he started raining down elbows, he overwhelmed his foe and forced the tap.

-[Lightweight bout]: Kazunori Ishii def. Machi Machiko via Unanimous Decision.

-[Review]: In and out of the clinch, Kazunori Ishii landed the harder and more accurate shots, awarding him a very one-sided, albeit entertaining, unanimous decision victory.

-[Featherweight bout]: Yoshi Doi def. Aki Sirkesalo via Unanimous Decision.

-[Review]: This fight was actually exhausting for me to watch. I get tired from doing my introductions but Yoshi Doi wouldn't or couldn't stop working. He would take Sirkesalo down and then let him back up... only to take him down again. The paramedics on staff had to bring me the oxygen tank three times during this fight alone- twice because I needed it and once because, well, I like oxygen.

-[Welterweight bout]: Thiago Alves def. Matthew Emanuel via Unanimous Decision.

-[Review]: Hi I'm Troy McClure! You may remember me from the first fight of the night. I decided to sit back and watch the whole show before doing my reviews because there is just too much going on. Emanuel was the dominant wrestler in this fight but whenever he wasn't actively grappling with Alves, he was getting hit. Hard. Thiago Alves easily did enough damage to win this fight.

-[Middleweight bout]: AnthonyH Moreno def. Dave Dickinson via TKO (Strikes) at 7:47 of round 2.

-[Review]: Okay. The first fight is starting behind me. This is only one of the preliminary fights so it shouldn't be very good. I'm going to do an introduction and then start announcing the fight. Okay. Hi I'm Troy McClure! You may rememOH MY GOD. Sorry about that fans, I had to sit back and just enjoy the action. Dickinson kept trying to bully Moreno around the cage and push him against the fence but Moreno, man, he just wouldn't sit still for a minute. He was so much the superior grappler that it was apparent through the entire fight. Moreno is the real deal!

So there you have it! The light-heavyweight tournament progresses down to the final two! In the tournament finale it will be Forrest Griffin against Wanderlei Silva. What a fight that is going to be!

Be sure you get tickets to the March 20 event KRT 84 – Santoro vs Kazarian! Only at the Hard Knocks arena. It's Nicky Santoro versus Tony Kazarian for the undisputed featherweight championship of the world!
