My Tycoon Experience.

About Me: Víktør Väldríkr

At the time I was playing Jippii - pool game and MMA Pro Fighter on Facebook. Jippii was turned into Azinky and went downhill. Having played Jippii for around 3 years, and becoming a chat regular and getting to know people I consider friends I was at a loss once that all but ended suddenly with nowhere to play anymore. I then began playing MMA Pro Fighter more and more, but with increasing frustration due to constant bugs, and glitches the game was beginning to become ridiculous and more and more about making money.

I ended up talking with a few MMA PF buddies and got introduced to MMA Tycoon. They explained what I had to do etc, sounded fun. I started playing, it was slow to start, and complicated compared to MMA PF. I enjoyed it. After having a few QFC's I got VIP. Started making fighters just for the hell of it. I got frustrated that I couldn't get rid of my fighters straight away (I think I even mailed Mike, I now understand I was wrong having played the game for a little while now).

Time began to tick away, and I began logging on with my phone. Checking when I was out, after sex, before sex, during?! I was addicted - I couldn't help myself. It was like Bill Jenkins and his attention addiction.

Having played for a while, the mentor system got introduced. I went hunting for a mentor. I choose Igor Psycho. We exchanged a few mails and so on, I wanted to try everything all at once - especially an org. He told me it wasn't the right time within the game. After a whole FOUR days, I ended the mentorship. (Sorry Igor). I then went looking for another who would help me with setting up an org. With being so new, I looked for a manager with a lot of experience.

I choose Osama BeenHidin'. Having sent one mail and not getting a response, I sacked him as a mentor. It didn't work for me. After that I had all but given up on mentors.

I started to enter chat more and more, and was asking questions about the game. Predicted helped me with sliders for one fight, I ended up winning. (Grateful). Then I started talking with someone called ViciousScotty. He then became my mentor.

We talked regularly. He was in chat regularly. Always responded to my mails, even if it was just a useless mail about Arsenal owning. He began talking to me about sliders, fighter builds, and teaching me about the game. I began to understand more and more about the game from his mentoring. He was a truly great mentor. Helped me with whatever I needed. Then one day, I got a mail asking if I would like to be part of the Alliance Hell's Playground subject to a vote. I said yes, and got a vote of yes to enter due to Scotty vouching for me. I was grateful to Scotty for vouching for me, and getting me into Hell's Playground.

I wasn't sure what to expect from Hell's Playground, and didn't really understand the importance of an alliance, except it had a cool name, and looked good on my profile.

I carried on talking to Scotty as usual, and asking for advice on fights. Joking about with him because he was Scottish, and how us English are superior to them.
I then began to ask questions to other alliance members, and got different responses on things they do and different slider information. I entered chat almost everyday, if not three/four times every day. Entering the HP channel to just doss and joke around.

After still being fairly new to Hell's Playground - I offered to take control of Hell's Balls Purgatory since Khrog was inactive and we needed to re-shuffle. ZyD was in control of Hell's Balls Purgatory which I then took control of and he then took over Hell's Balls Combat Championship.

As time passed, I formed a few friendships with others and wanted to try new things. I cancelled the mentorship with Scotty. We ended up with a record of 17-3. The new thing I wanted to try was a different style, see what else I could learn. I struck up a somewhat abusive friendship with Ihhu/Big Boss. (He's a total tit, deserves to be arse (yes, arse because us English say arse, not ass) raped by the biggest, mo'fuckin' beefed up, steroid injecting Gorilla on this planet). He then became my mentor. (I've come to realise I abused the mentorship feature) We exchanged mails, talked when we could etc. We have very different styles, I like to KO fools, he likes to hug on the floor. He taught me completely different to Scotty, which was a little weird to get used to. But all in all, it was good to learn other things, and try different things to enhance my Tycoon experience.

Things started to come to an end with Ihhu, he had a kid on the way, and we both entered the same tournament. We ended the mentorship. We ended up 10-6. I put this down to a lot of harder fights I was taking, picking up older fighters and fighting against experienced managers. I decided I liked the route I was going fighting harder opponents with a step up in class in managers. So I entered Euro Premier League Season Two - along with Ihhu. I actually used his old fighter to enter (Harri Hippi - who I now totally hate and hope he dies a horrid death). This hasn't been very good for me. I had a win-able first fight again an alliance member - I ended up losing and picking up a 16 day injury. Total disaster since we fight every week - no matter what. My second fight was against Scotty - carrying a nine day injury into the fight, I didn't expect much. I went 100% Aggressive and Damage. I think people can work out the result... My third fight was against no other than Ihhu. With a two day injury and fairly owned in every skill department I once again didn't expect anything. I needed help, I mailed Scotty and asked if he fancied mentoring me again to help me out. He kindly accepted and we got back to work. With a two day injury still lingering there wasn't much we could do but try minimise injury days. I got to the second round, and then lost to TKO Strikes. Picked up another two day injury - which leaves me injury free for the next fight - albeit with a ten day cut. Hopefully, I can pull out my first win in the EPL. Although I’m not holding my breath since Harri Hippi is a useless punk arse fighter I should have never picked up. :) But with Scotty's help, nothing is impossible.

My plan is to break the top 100 - which won't be an easy task. And then go further. Hopefully I can get a great fighter on my roster too.

To sum up: I just want to say thank you to a few people and in general in the whole Tycoon community.
Scotty: thank you for helping me learn the game, helping when I needed it and so on... You are probably one of the main reasons I stuck around when things were complicated at the start.
Ihhu: you crack me up. Great guy. Congrats on the kiddy - you'll be a great dad and I wish you all the success in life. Aussie John: Just being a top friend in general. Have a laugh on Facebook and taking my brother under your wing in Tycoon.
Mannetosen: simply for having Sergio Torres in my org and helping with slider information.

A big thank you to every one else. The whole chat regulars, the people who fight in HBP, the people who troll and make it thoroughly entertaining. You all make this game.

A big thanks to Mike for making this game and always keeping it about the gaming experience.

P.s - the end sounds rushed and like I’m leaving. It is rushed - because I need a piss and because I woke at 2:30 AM and after watching 6 hours of Dexter Season One, I had fuck all to do. And no, I am not leaving. I love the game too much.

If you read that, thanks. If not - that Gorilla is coming for you...
