Don Marciano Q&A with Paul Bradley

Fighter profile of Don Marciano by Chris Karter

Immortals Playground founder, former KONFLIKT owner, and Convicted Inc manager Paul Bradley sat down for a Q&A with the #1 ranked Heavyweight and #2 P4P fighter in the world "The Godfather" Don Marciano.

PB: You're coming off another successful title defense with a KOTN performance against EPL "Iron Man" winner Jake Ryan. How does it feel and do you have any idea who your next opponent will be?
DM: It feels great to add another knockout to my resume. My next opponent will be whoever Chuck and the EMPIRE staff offer me.

PB: Do you consider yourself one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time?
DM: MMA? No. I don't consider myself one of the best mixed martial artist, not by a long shot. I'm one of the best strikers on this planet though. I can stand with anybody and I can finish anybody. I've proven that time and time again.

PB: Are there any fighters out there that you would like to get in the cage with?
DM: Fidel Duberry. Kyle Carlton. David Abbott.

PB: Is it true that you recently declined a fight offer against Convicted Inc fighter Dustin Douglas?
DM: My manager shot down the idea but I would gladly fight Dustin. He's a great fighter, a true warrior and champion, and it would be an honor to fight him.

PB: When did you first realize you'd be rich man making a living through MMA?
DM: I was wealthy before I started fighting but MMA gave me a legitimate outlet so I ceased the opportunity to do what I'm best at for a living.

PB: What did you spend your first big pay check on?
DM: After the Maxim Dragunov fight I lived in the brothels in Amsterdam for a little more than 6 months.

PB: How do you feel about the United States current economic crisis?
DM: Over population and piss poor decision makers will have that affect.

PB: What where your thoughts when that sex tape with Kim Kardashian was released 2 years ago? And what tempted you to appear in America's favourite housewifes magazine "the whole 9 inches"?
DM: It surprised me at first cuz I'm the first white guy she's ever been seen with, but at the end of the day she's an attention whore so it was to be expected. As for the magazine - when the public sees an Italian stallion packin' a foot long cannon they know there's a million ladies that will pay to see it. I did it for women everywhere, who needed to pleasure themselves to me in order to get through the day. As a man I was obligated to do the public this service and I would of did it free of charge if they didn't offer to pay me first.

PB: You're featured on the cover of EMPIRE's new MMA game, what can we expect from it?
DM: It's an honor to be on the cover after such a short period of time with the company. It's going to be a great game. I got a sneak peak at it a couple nights ago, the graphics are amazing, the mechanics are life-like, and it's as realistic as it gets; I'm the best looking and highest rated fighter in the game.

PB: We hear that you've been offered a major role in the movie "The Expendables III". Have you signed on the dotted line and if so what can we expect?
DM: The rumors are true. I've already been a Grammy nominee for a few of the cameo roles I've done, so if I take the part expect nothing less than an Oscar awarding performance.

PB: Will you be making more films and can we expect to see you fighting again or is movies where you see yourself now?
DM: I'll always be a fighter at heart, and every time somebody tells me or I tell myself that I don't have much left in the tank I'm determined to prove it wrong, but there's a lot of money in acting. There's nothing left for me to prove in the fighting business. I've avenged every loss. Won and defended multiple titles. You can't fight forever, no matter how much you want to, it's physically impossible. It's fortunate that I already live and train in Los Angeles so the Hollywood scene will be an easy transition for me after my MMA career is over.

PB: Is there anything in this world that you love more than MMA?
DM: Family, women, food, money, fighting, and friends. In that order.
