Battle Royale Fighting Championship brings you 10 mouth-watering match ups with the event “BRFC12: Safety Not Guaranteed” held at The Underground, Tokyo arena. The event is filled with welterweight talents, with no less than 10 warriors looking to make a name for themselves and move up the stacked 170lbs division!

 

Main Event: “No Safety” Parachute Man (5-0-0) vs Salvatore “Slayer” Moretti (5-0-0) – 170lbs welterweight

 

Two fast rising 170lbs talents in the form of Parachute Man and Salvatore Moretti will lock horns in our main event at “BRFC12: Safety Not Guaranteed”. Top level Japanese wrestler, “No Safety” Man has dominated his opponents with his superb grappling and top position. Having gone five fights undefeated with most victories in his BRFC career over Peter Jackson and Hanzel Rampage, Man has proven to be one of the top contenders of the welterweight division. The man to be stepping in the cage with him will be fellow undefeated prospect with a 5-0 record, Salvatore Moretti. The Italian QFC Tournament winner had shown his respect for the talented Parachute Man in recent interviews, but no less feels extremely confident that he is able to finish him within the first round. “Slayer” Moretti has dished out some tough fighting words, but it will be on the night we see who steps up to the plate in what is almost guaranteed to be an exciting match up!

 

Co-main Event: Eisei Fumiaki (3-0-0) vs “Real Deal” Ryan Ford (2-0-0) – 155lbs lightweight

 

In the co-main event, Japanese fight sensation, Eisei Fumiaki will take on the tough hard hitting brawler, Ryan Ford. Fumiaki will be fighting at 155lbs for the first time. Having started his career in Battle Royale Fighting Championship in the featherweight division, where his teammate and the reigning 145lbs champion, Akira Yasuharu remains the kingpin, the move to lightweight will give the Muay Thai and BJJ expert an opportunity for a shot at a gold should he prove successful as he has done in the featherweight division. He will be met with another undefeated lightweight talent in the form of Ryan Ford. The tough Canadian, “Real Deal” Ford packed quite a punch on his Battle Royale Fighting Championship debut as he scored a KO of the Night victory over Daisuke Nakajima at “BRFC8: 420 Sssmokin’!!!”.  The well-rounded Ford will be bringing his A game to ensure he gives Fumiaki a rude awakening at 155lbs division and in order to propel his own prosperous career.

 

“The Blackfish” Brynden Tully (2-0-0) vs Torinaka “Thunderbolt” Gomi (1-0-0) – 170lbs welterweight

 

Two exciting welterweights will go head to head as Brynden Tully faces BRFC newcomer, Torinaka Gomi. Possibly considered one of the most feared welterweights in organisation, “The Blackfish” Tully doesn’t have many people in a hurry to face him. The well-rounded talented Welsh man most recently victorious over talented wrestler, Bruce Forsyth at “BRFC8: 420 Sssmokin’!!!” and he looks to continue his strive towards a shot at welterweight gold. The introduction of Torinaka Gomi will prove to be a stumbling block to Tully’s journey though. The Japanese, “Thunderbolt” Gomi is a talented boxer and wrestler, and has made quite an impression in his sole KO victory in the regional circuit. He will have an equal tough test ahead of him, but with a victory he can easily see himself rise amongst the top contenders within a stacked division.

 

Hugo Stiglitz (4-2-0) vs Bruce “The Big Cheese” Forsyth (1-1-0) – 170lbs welterweight

 

Also in the 170lbs division, two top grapplers will put their skills to the test as BJJ expert Hugo Stiglitz challenges the wrestling pedigree of Bruce Forsyth. One time BRFC welterweight title challenger, Hugo Stiglitz saw his opportunity dashed with a punch at “BRFC8: 420 Sssmokin’!!! The German BJJ purple belt still remains a top drawer at welterweight and is aiming to fight his way back to another shot for the title. In his way stands the durable British wrestler, Bruce Forsyth. “The Big Cheese” Forsyth may have come up short in his most recent bout against Brynden Tully, but he remains one of the toughest man within the talent heavy division and will be aiming to rise amongst the ranks with a  victory over his German counterpart.

 

“Niten” Miyamoto Musashi (1-1-0) vs Jacob “Bomber” McCallister (2-1-0) – 155lbs lightweight

 

Lightweights do battle as Miyamoto Musashi will face Jacob McCallister. Japanese wrestler, “Niten” Musashi most recently scored an impressive victory in his Fight of the Night performance against Jake Powell at “BRFC7: Shockwave”. The always determined Musashi looks to continue his exciting display to solidify his place within the elite lightweights. A man equally hungry to be at the top of the division would be his opponent, Jacob McCallister. The American, “Bomber” McCallister made his Battle Royale Fighting Championship debut at “BRFC9: Rise & Glory” with a unanimous decision victory over Sergio Moreira. A skillful boxer with a big heart, he will be looking to give all he can to knock Musashi down from the ladder and make the climb to the top himself.

 

“The Hawk” Yamamoto Takamura (2-1-0) vs “Majestic” Jason Alexander (1-1-0) – 170lbs welterweight

 

Amongst the 170lbs talents looking to move up the ranks on the night includes Yamamoto Takamura and Jason Alexander who will be squaring off at “BRFC12: Safety Not Guaranteed”. The Japanese fighter, “The Hawk” Takamura is coming off his first career defeat at the hands of one time title challenger, Illias Stefano at “BRFC9: Rise & Glory”. He will be looking for redemption and let out some steam as he takes on Jason Alexander. The young American BJJ purple belt, “Majestic” Alexander scored his first professional victory in an impressive fashion on his BRFC debut with a KO of the Night win over Julian Eduardo Demaestri in under a minute. He will be looking to apply the same handy work or his improved BJJ skills to the test as the cage door locks behind him and the tough Takamura.

 

Ramon “Tio” Monzon (1-1-0) vs “Gregarious” George Gary (1-1-0) – 170lbs welterweight

 

Rounding up the welterweight talents of the night will be Ramon Monzon taking on George Gary. Muay Thai fighter, “Tio” Monzon will finally be making his Battle Royale Fighting Championship debut after his scrap with Jan Jarzynski at “BRFC9: Rise & Glory” was canceled due to his opponent not making weight. The highly confident striker will be eager to show off his fighting skills on the night. It may be easier said than done though, as he will be facing a solid test in the grappling department against BJJ purple belt, George Gary. The American talented ground fighter, “Gregarious” Gary most recently scored a decision victory over Nick Diaz at “BRFC7: Shockwave” on his debut. He always shows strong determination and will look no other way to get the victory on Friday night.

 

Kimbo “The Muscle” Reem (1-1-0) vs Seth “Gunner” Gunn (2-3-0) – 185lbs middleweight

 

On the night’s sole middleweight battle, Kimbo Reem will be taking on Seth Gunn. Brooklyn’s own, “The Muscle” Reem didn’t get off to the best of start to his BRFC career as he succumbed to a submission defeat by Bubba Benson at “BRFC8: 420 Sssmokin’!!!” He will be looking to wipe those memories clean as he applies to handy boxing skills and as a BJJ purple belt to challenge one of Battle Royale Fighting Championship’s first signing, Seth Gunn. Not having fought since the company’s promotional debut, New Zealander, “Gunner” Gunn will be making a most welcome return to the BRFC cage at “BRFC12: Safety Not Guaranteed”. He will look to showcase his solid Muay Thai once more and look to dish out some of the devastating finishes he had been known for in the regional circuit.

 

Jed “Force” Wrang (0-1-0) vs Jack “Soul Shatter” Yu (0-2-1) – 145lbs featherweight

 

In the featherweight division, BRFC newcomer Jed Wrang will be welcomed to the cage by Jack Yu. The young Bangladeshian fighter, “Force” Wrang is still relatively new to the fight game but will be looking to apply his striking skills in his favour to come away with what would be an impressive debut should he score a win over a tough competitor in Jack Yu. Three fights going to decision, two not in his favour and one begin a majority draw, “Soul Shatter” Yu is still in search for his first professional victory. The Muay Thai fighter will be looking to get just that once the cage door closes behind him on Friday night.

 

Diasaku “Slick” Machida (1-4-0) vs Sergio “Sexy Peanut” Moreira (0-3-0) – 155lbs lightweight

 

Opening the night’s event will be Diasaku Machida taking on Sergio Moreira in the lightweight division. Both fighters are without a win in three consecutive fights, and will be looking to do all they can to secure their Battle Royale Fighting Championship career. Machida will look to utilize his Muay Thai and BJJ skills to his advantage while “Sexy Peanut” Moreira will rely on his boxing and wrestling skills which has a making for a fun action packed opening fight!

 

 

On Friday 10th April 2013 at the Underground, Tokyo arena – you can be certain there will be excitement, there will be fireworks, there will be knock out and finishes – and one thing for sure: Safety is not guaranteed!!!
