 The main event features a 185 pound title fight between between Stone Fists(1-0) and Klaus Schankelies(0-0). Schankelies is unexperienced but holds a brown belt in BJJ and thats where StoneFists lacks, although Stonefists has a clear advantage in the standup department I think the fight will hit the ground at somepoint and Schankelies will showcase his ground skills.
Prediction: Schankelies by submission in round 1 to become the first UPF-NY middleweight champion.
Our second fight of the night is a lightheavyweight bout between Ray Minden(4-2) and Salvatore Braddock(0-0). Minden has alot more experience and good boxing but so does salvatore, actually in fact he has better boxing but I think Mindens mix or wrestling and boxing will be too much for (what looks to be) Braddocks boxing only attack.
Prediction: Minden by decision.
For the third fight or the night we have a 155 pound contest between Tommy Fire(9-16-1) and Jason Cain(0-0). Tommy Fire is a very good grappler and I think his well roundedness will do him well in this fight.
Prediction: Tommy fire by submission round 1.
Our next fight takes place at 265 pounds between Rocket man(0-0) and Matt Matthews(1-0). Both men have impressive wrestling skills but it appears Matt Matthews has taken his time finetuning some skills before taking fights so I think he well rounded skills are going to make it so no matter where the fight goes he has the advantage.
Prediction: Matt Matthews by knockout round 2
Another 155 pound contest tonight features Matt Ciechu(1-0) against jeremie manninen(1-1). This should be a closely contested bout between two evenly matched up and comers but if I had to choose i'd put my money on Ciechu in this one.
Prediction: Ciechu by decision.
The last fight of the night is a 155 pound bout between Denzel Washington and "slick" Ryne Kemp. I'm going with Washington on this one.
Prediction: Washington by knockout round 1.
