Welcome to Tycoon Times� first edition, delivered direct to your virtual doorstep. It will be a weekly newspaper, assuming we have enough quality submissions, featuring all manner of fighter interviews, event previews and reviews, company and manager profiles and editorials about all things Tycoon and MMA in general.

There have been a number of attempts at off-site news resources but being external made them a bit out of sight and out of mind, so I wanted to make a resource that could do justice so some of the great writing work within the Tycooniverse.

The final catalyst was Syn�s 200th event promo video which was posted in the forums but had only received around 100 views on You Tube. I want to make sure features like that get the exposure and credit they deserve because I really appreciate the effort that goes into them.

So, now the paper is up and running and you can see the general layout of things, you should be a bit clearer on the sort of article that will suit the paper. Use this as a resource to really get involved in the role-play aspect of the game and bring your fighters to life, bring some publicity to your company or big up your alliance. Do whatever you like but keep it original and you�ll be more likely to feature in the next edition.

I'd like to thank the guys who have volunteered to edit the Newspaper. You can see the Editorial Staff list via a link in the bottom left of the page. If you have any questions about what they want from an upcoming edition, send them a PM.

There is also a chatbox added for the newspaper itself, if you�d like to make suggestions for articles or comment on stuff you�ve read in previous issues. I�m sure all the writers would love to hear feedback if you�ve enjoyed their contributions. Maybe send these guys a bit of a donation if you've enjoyed their work.

For my part, I'll try and write an editorial every couple of weeks on something I'm developing within the game. Ultimately though, whilst I can make a small contribution, Tycoon Times will only be as good as you guys make it, so get involved and let�s make the most of it and I'm sure it will turn out to be a weekly highlight!

Here are a couple of notes for submitting articles.
- Please try not to submit any formatting like bold text, underlining or coloured stuff. It looks a mess.
- If you submit a video from youtube, put the Tycoon website link in the video description on youtube and add some good MMA related keywords... You never know, some people might stumble across the video and join the game because of it!
-Make the most of the classified ads - they don't cost you anything (yet), so it's free advertising.
-Make sure you submit your article in the right category. We've had a couple of event reports submitted as editorials, for example.

Last of all, if you submit something that doesn't get used, thanks for putting in the time and better luck next time! We may store some articles to use at a later date too, if there are too many submissions of a similar type in one week.
