After a stunning event last week, devoted Crucible Fights fans will be delighted to watch their very own young prospects as they showcase their promising skills at Hard Knocks - Amsterdam on July 6.Â
Â
Under Card:Â
Â
10. (170) Michal "Szakal" Mocny vs. Hao Wang
Wang has not been good lately, losing twice in his recent fights against Braddock Spong and Omar Cluzet, and he can only have a chance to win this fight by taking the debutant Mocny down to the mat.
Prediction: Mocny by Element of Surprise - 3rd
Â
9. (155) Giacobbe "Rota" Ruotolo vs. Duey "The Experiment" Doubleg
Doubleg needs his big heart no doubt about it, he will fight Ruotolo, a man with lots of talent, good in bed, likes musicals and he can even do a moonwalk but seriously the huge disparity in standup skills will put Doubleg in a world of trouble.Â
Prediction: Ruotolo by TKO (Strikes) - 2nd
Â
8. (265) Hush Hanson vs. Nils "The Thrills" Master
After pulling out a kimura in just 12 seconds last week, Hanson is back in the ring again but this time will be difficult because he will be up against Master, a better wrestler and standup fighter overall.
Prediction: Master by TKO (Srikes) - 2nd
Â
7. (205) Arne "All Business" Ukkonen vs. Dark Spirit
Both fighters have seems to be very identical, both coming from a loss with a record of three wins and two defeats. Their onlyÂ
difference is their main weapon, Ukkonen uses punches while Spirit have good kicks and a slight differential in the quality of their chin -good/solid vs. granite.
Prediction: Spirit by Decision (Unanimous)Â
Â
6. (265) "The Dark Prince" Jared Wild vs. Brian "Bad" Mason
A very interesting matchup between young bloods with awesome talent. Wild has proven his dexterity at standup games whileÂ
Mason has proven his prowess when the fight is on the ground.
Prediction: Wild by KO (Punch) - 1st
Â
5. (205) Frankie "The Real Deal" Ostrowski vs. Artor "Cannibal" Guhtur
Kicks or punches, which do I choose? I chose the latter because Ostrowski is much more motivated since he wants a revengeÂ
after his receiving his first loss from our main eventer tonight - Mac Dirty.Â
Prediction: Ostrowski by Decision (Unanimous)
Â
Main Card:Â
Â
4. (265) Cloud Strife (4-2) vs. Rauni Tuulikki Kukkonen (6-3)
Finally, we're on the main card for the evening. Kukkonen is slightly better in boxing and muay thai ability so Strife can only relyÂ
on one aspect he excels with - wrestling. Â Physical and mental toughness is a must for him because Kukkonen is gifted with KOÂ power and is very creative with his submissions
Prediction: Kukkonen by TKO (Strikes) - 3rd
Â
3. (265) "DC" Daniel Cormier (6-3) vs. Agilulfe Fragonard (5-1)
A little motivation from their managers would do to make the patrons of Hard Knocks - Amsterdam become agitated. But evenÂ
then, this would still be an exciting match up because we will see warriors coming from a loss which means one will have hisÂ
redemption but the other will continue to fall. Cormier took pride of his elbows, used for tearing skins apart. On the other hand,Â
Fragonard is equipped with astounding ground and pound.
Prediction: Fragonard by KO (Strikes) - 2nd
Â
2. (205) Harry "Dirty" Callahan (8-3) vs. Khalid Al Mahyani (6-2)Â
Although he lost his recent fight to Iso Kaato at <018 • Ready To Go>, Callahan still has something to offer. Wonderful boxing, Â
superb wrestling and a superior brazilian jiu-jitsu isn't something for Mahyani to underestimate. Mahyani isn't someone to take on lightly either, combination of kicks and knees making the outcome of this bout even harder to predict.
Prediction: Callahan by TKO (Strikes) - 3rd.
Â
1. (205) "Agent 47" Iso Kaato (4-0) vs. Mac Dirty (5-2)
This clash between the top prospects of Light Heavyweight Division is the main event of the evening. Whoever wins this matchÂ
would be one step closer on becoming a champion. Dirty has bounced back after his two fight losing skid by beating FrankieÂ
Ostrowski via TKO at <021 • Display Of Power>. Meanwhile, "Agent 47" is on a roll and yet to experience a defeat. Kaato willÂ
have the upperhand in striking battle and their ground game is pretty much even. I'm excited to see how this one will unfold.
Prediction: Kaato by KO (Head Kick) - 1st
