LFC: Proving Ground (Saturday, July 27, 2013)

-- -- -- Mack Wiatrzyk (1-0-0) vs. Lucas "The Doc" Rautner (0-2-0) Light Heavyweight bout (205lbs) This is it! The first fight ever in the LFC! Wiatrzyk will be going into the fight the smaller fighter. He will have to use this as a wrestling advantage and get that fight quickly to the ground. Despite having 2 losses in his first 2 bouts, Rautner will have the chance to prove he's a good boxer by using his reach advantage in this fight. A quick KO win would make him a serious threat in the light heavyweight division. Good luck to both fighters, and may this first fight ever be a good one! -- -- -- Chris "Allstar" Rautner (1-1-0) vs. Donovan "Cheetah" Travis (0-2-0) Welterweight bout (170lbs) Two evenly matched fighters facing each other in this bout. Rautner should have a slight advantage in wrestling. If this fight stays on the feet, expect a really entertaining fight by those 2 muay thai specialists. Kicks and punches are on the menu! Let's see who will eat more and who will fill up the other one first! -- -- -- Stevey "The Yetti" Ferritti (0-0-0) vs. Chuck Nowrist (0-0-0) Welterweight bout (170lbs) It's not only the first event ever for the LFC, it's the first Pro MMA fight for those two fighters right here. Grappling guru Ferritti will be going into the fight the smaller opponent against muay thai specialist Nowrist. He will have to bring this fight quickly to the ground and use his BJJ skills to avoid any punishment. Nowrist will surely use his reach advantage to land some kicks and stay out of Ferritti's grappling reach. Will this be a lay n pray game, or will both fighters go all out?  -- -- -- Ricky "The Bear" White (0-0-0) vs. Best "Fighter" Ever (3-1-0) Lightweight bout (155lbs) A fight between two wrestlers! I can promise that this wrestling won't be fake and that punches will land from the ground! Making his Pro MMA debut, White will be going into this fight as an underdog against the wonderful wrestler that is Ever. Ever's experience and wonderful wrestling skills should be enough to overpower the young White. This will be a fight where any mistake done could cost a lot to one of those fighters. -- -- -- Uncle "Mgm" Murda (0-0-0) vs. Jimmy Palmer (1-0-0) Heavyweight bout (265lbs) Let the big boys fight! Heavyweight bout right here between two strong fighters. Murda will be going into this fight the smaller fighter, but with better cardio and speed, he should be able to use his superb boxing to overmatch his opponent. On the other side, Palmer is coming off a submission win in his first fight ever. He will be looking to bring this fight to the ground but it won't be an easy task against this evenly matched wrestler. -- -- -- Derek "Beer" Burns (0-0-0) vs. Christian Reso (2-1-0) Light Heavyweight bout (205lbs) The Co-Main event of the evening, featuring two skilled fighters! Burns will probably be going into this fight on a hangover, but will still be fighting his heart out like he does best. He will have to stay away from Reso's grappling skills and use his remarkable boxing to his advantage. Reso has already made a name of himself in the sport by getting a sub of the night and fight of the night award from 3 fights. He will be looking to take this fight to the mat as quick as he can and use his BJJ skills to show the world what a purple belt really means. -- -- -- Tristar Tristan (1-0-0) vs. Henrik "Crosby" Sjovall (0-1-0) Middleweight bout (185lbs) The Main event of the evening! A fight of the night and/or submission of the night candidate! Both fighters want that fight to go to ground and it will be a grappling war. Whoever gets the win will have to do it in an impressive manner. Tristan will have the advantage in wrestling, but Sjovall should be slightly better on the feet, if it stays there. Despite a loss at his MMA debut, Sjovall dominated the fight and will be looking to do the same in this main event. Tristan's accuracy with the ground and pound shouldn't be overlooked by his opponent and could make a huge difference.
