Fighting for respect

Fighter profile of Mon Lisondra by

"I'm not only fighting for the 145 lbs. belt but I'm also fighting for respect." that's what did Mon "Flex" Lisondra said about his upcoming debut fight for the Utopia: MMA Fight League. Not only this is his first fight for Utopia, it is also his first crack for the 145 lbs. belt which is now held by the undefeated Hugh Stanlay.

"Many people saying that it's too early for me to compete for the belt and other people saying that I did not deserve this opportunity. But they don't understand that this is my dream. This is a challenge for my skill. Yes, Hugh is a tough champion, still unbeaten for 6 fights right now but I'm kicking my ass off in training everyday just to be ready whenever this chance will come." said by the BJJ Purple Belt Filipino which is also unbeaten for 3 fights all in 1 round stoppages due to submission.

Mon will be fighting Hugh as the underdog for the upcoming fight since experience is not in his side. And also he will be going against a champ who loves to Ground and Pound regardless who the opponent is. As the stats show, 4 of the last fight of Hugh was stopped due to GnP and considering his last opponent in Utopia: Vacation 1, Shawn Lexsand, has an identical situation with Mon, 3 consecutive wins in the QFC before entering Utopia and fighting there first fight challenging the reigning champ.

Will it be the same results? or will a new champ will reign? Will Mon earn his respect? or will he have a fallen pride? Many questions will be answered on Utopia 10: Fallen Pride, August 21, 2013.

Don't miss it cause this fight will surely be interesting.
