Taj al Din vs Womba

Fighter profile of Taj al Din by Chris Karter

Axelsson is posturing up here but al Din has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Axelsson tries to roll out but it's too tight and Axelsson has to tap! Slick submission there by al Din!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Taj al Din!
Taj al Din retains his light heavyweight title!
An out of breath Taj al Din thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

Shortly after his submission of the night victory over #1 contender Ansgar Axelsson, former KONFLIKT owner and retired manager Paul Bradley sat down with the #2 ranked P4P fighter in the world and #1 ranked LHW fighter and MMA legend, "The Tasmanian Devil" Taj al Din.

PB: "Coming fresh off another submission of the night award, how do you feel?"
TD: "Like 3 million euros. I did my job, and I feel great. I came out flat. It was hard to find my range at first but I capitalized on an opportunity and secured the armbar."

PB: "What's next? Fans have been clamoring for a Taj vs Womba matchup, and after Samor Kanen - another one of your teammates getting submitted today, we think it's long overdue."

TD: "It is a fight I have wanted for a long time. It should be my next fight."

PB: "Womba has 5 victories against the Convicted Fight Club camp, with 4 submissions. In all of these losses by way of submission, for the most part the Convicted fighter has been controlling the match, dictating the pace, stuffing everything on the ground, and when they roll into his guard, he taps em out. How are you going to avoid becoming a victim to his technique?"
TD: "Womba is a red belt under the Jan Paulsen guard system, that has been the key to his success. I'm currently a brown belt under Eddie Bravo and Tor Nansen. I'm a very capable submission fighter, and I believe I will make Womba respect that."

PB: "You were described as "The Weed hermit of Tasmania" by Convicted manager Tarmo Heiskanen, can you tell us why?"
TD: "Haha you know why mate. I'll let the public do the math."

PB: "You recently attended the Cannabis Cup in Colorado, what was your impression of it?"
TD: "Unorganized. There was a good turn out, but it'll take a year or two before they're running as smoothly as the events in Amsterdam."

PB: "If you had to compare your fighting style to a current UFC fighter's, who would it be?"
TD: "Gegard Mousasi and Lyoto Machida, but it isn't rare for me to underperform like Shogun."
PB: "What's the highlight of your career?"
TD: "Avenging my losses to Les Grossman AKA Public Enemy and Yance Sackett."
PB: "Is it true that Don Marciano got you a role in 'The Expendables V'?"
TD: "Haha, no. But I did do a cameo appearance for Pineapple Express 3."

PB: "Will you be making more films and can we expect to see you fighting again or is movies where you see yourself now?"
TD: "Fighter first mentality." PB: "Good luck out there, hopefully you can snap the losing streak to Kelly and that dastardly African Assassin Womba."
TD: "Win, lose, or draw. We're gonna burn one down."
