Hello! Were live from the Micro Arena here in St Petersburg for Brutal FC's first card ever! Lets just jump right into the action. The first fight on the main card and its between the big boys. How exciting!
Heavyweight Bout
"The Rapper" Maurice Green (2-1) vs. Kilgore Trout (0-0)
Well here we go , a heavyweight bout between two promising young heavyweights. Green , coming off an impressive outing where he dominated his opponent and finished with a beautiful kimura , will no doubt be looking to repeat the success of his last fight. Its hard to tell what to expect with this one on account of the fact that this will be Trout's pro mma debut but ive heard rumors that Trout is just simply great in every aspect of this mma game. This one has all the makings for a war and ill be watching this one from cage side. Expect fireworks!
Middleweight Bout
Jack Slayter (0-1) vs. Max "Anaconda" Snozynsky (1-0)
Now here's that classic striker versus grappler match up were always hearing about. Slayter , the striker , will no doubt be looking to sprawl and brawl. I expect Slayter to come into the cage with everything to prove. Look for Max to get this fight to the ground as fast as he can and use those dominant grappling skills to sink in a choke or take an arm. This one could go either way , don't miss it!
Heavyweight Bout
Trevor Reznik (2-0) vs. Dorian "Giant" Milovic (0-1)
With a win here tonight Reznik could very well find himself looking at a title shot. The wrestler turned striker has shown some real knockout power in his past fights. Look for him to go out there swinging with hard precise punches. Reznik's got the technique and the power to put anyone away. But i wouldn't look past Milovic. A great standup specialist in Milovic will look to stand and bang with Reznik and show off his standup skills , which is something that he failed to do in his pro debut. If Milovic does manage to pull off the upset that might just set him up for a shot at that gold!
Co-Main Event
Light Heavyweight Bout
"King" Jimmy Esperanza (21-20) vs. Goran Schwarzeneg (9-32-1)
This co main event will be between two real gritty vets both with rocky careers , and both looking to make a statement against the other. When you look at Esperanza you have a real dangerous muay thai practitioner who also possesses a stellar ground game.Having fought against tough competition "King" will be looking to prove himself as one of BFC's elite. Now in the other corner we have Schwarzeng and as you can tell by looking at his record hes always determined to fight the best guys around and he'll never back down. Id look out for Goran to try and keep this one on the feet and bang it out. With both these fighters going the distance a combined 19 times i can see this one being an all out three round war , don't miss it!
Main Event
Welterweight Bout
"Hot Chili" Alex Poblano (1-0) vs. Urie Sergeyev (2-1)
And this is our main event! Three rounds in the BFC's welterweight division. In one corner you have Poblano , a well rounded submission specialist with alot of heart. Now those are the makings of a champion. In his pro mma debut Poblano showed off those feared submission skills scoring a first round submission via guillotine. Now in the other corner you have Sergeyev. Another well rounded , but slightly less submission savvy , BFC welterweight prospect. 2-1 against tough competition , look for Urie to establish the standup game. Perhaps he may look to pepper his opponent with shots to close the distance and clinch up. Either way this one has some serious title implications so look for someone to try and make a statement out of the other. Were making history here!
