TTFC: Lomax vs Mullen

Event Preview: TTFC Mullen Vs Lomax 3
Team Thomas Fight Club
2013-12-28, New York, Madison Garden Arena
Author:King Scooby

Finally we are back after hopefully a wonderful holiday week and some time to spend with family. Before the holiday TTFC finished off another fun week with Mathers vs Maddox 2 where Marshall Mathers became the new 155lb champion after winning in a close decision that will most likely result in a 3rd go round between the two fighters. Luke Johnson defeated King Marvin in the same manner on December 21st's co-main event and I have to give some props to John Lakanik for the way he rearranged my very own Rubin Carter's face turning him into a picasso painting on the canvas.

As we head into our last event of the year we are looking to go out with a bang and start the new year on a great leg up. Mike Thomas has put together some great matchups on our 2013 going out card headlined by a man making his TTFC debut, but before I get into that I would like to give you my fight card predictions.

John Moneybags over Mitsuyo Maeda

Mystic Zen over Arana Kahui

Shelton Harrell over Rick Ross

Sadiq Hossein over Renato Gracie

Unkind Artist over Leonel Lutsky

Zack Allen over Itor Lamope

Kearney McGarrity over Tallak Hrolf

and Mike Holmes successfully defends his title against Gregg Valentine

Lester Cockenschtuff has branded himself to the TTFC name here in New York after bouncing around in a few orgs early on in his career. Every time we have spoken with him he expressed how gladly he appreciated the opportunity to be apart of this brilliant organization and that he one day desired to go down in the Org Hall Of Fame with his body of work. In his last outing, he put a stop to Kearney McGarrity for the second time by way of TKO. I predicted this victory for the Molester and he came through with my promise. He will square off against a foe he has a lot of history with, Cain Colbert. This will be the third time the two meet in the cage this time to break the tie breaker and Colbert is ALSO a TTFC loyal man to be reckoned with. The Freight Train has fought a whopping 38 times in the organization and has 22 victories here. When the two met in the cage last time, Colbert was overcome on wednesday night by a kick and a flurry of punches sending him into a lack of consciousness. These two historic fighters will put on a great show but I expect Lester The Molester Cockenschtuff to come away with another victory.

The title man will need enough people to fill a college classroom to carry all of his hardware to the cage tomorrow night as Clint, The Manchester Nightmare Lomax will make his TTFC superfight debut against our very own Chris The Brick Mullen. Lomax has went the distance in 14 of his last 15 fights so when we read the Tale of The Tape and it tells us “Good gas tank” we know that tank is better than a 2014 Toyota Prius at optimum potential. This guy NEVER gets tired or gassed. His ability to show off his great defense and stretch fights out to their entirety has proven excellent to his advantage. He will look to avoid the power that the Brick possesses for a full 25 minutes to score a victory here. The powerhouse with the nickname, the Brick, has finished 3 of his last 5 going on to a 5 fight win streak against some very esteemed fighters of the likes of Tyrone Tornado and Rex Tremendous. This guy hits like a ton of bricks, not just one and it will be very interesting to see what he decides to do in this bout against Lomax who rarely gets finished. The ultra aggressive approach or the sit back and toss power strikes mindset will be at hand and im not sure either option is the key to victory. So for this pick I will have to go with Clint Lomax, although I dont like going against our TTFC fighters, I think we will take this one on the chin.

I hope you all enjoyed your holiday as well as have a great time for the New Year and be safe. To all of my readers, managers and TTFC fans I want to thank you all for a wonderful year and most importantly I think we all owe Mike Thomas a big thank you for putting such a reputable org together year round. To all ENJOY!
