INSANITY 7: Prepare For War

On the final show of January 2014, we start out with some Welterweight fighters looking to make themselves famous inside the cage. Trevor Philips Vs. Matt Gracie are the brave men ready to duke it out. And Philips hits a quick double leg for the takedown and looks to get control of this fight, he tries a quick sub that doesn't work but he won't give up... Wait, Gracie has gotten an arm triangle and Philips passes out as he doesn't give up... Gracie looks happy as he makes short work of his opponent and goes home with a nice submission.
Time for featherweights (Spoiler: they actually don't really weigh as much as a feather!), Ryan DePloi Vs. Abraham Donowitz and they look ready for a long fight... Donowitz hits a filthy uppercut and DePloi is KTFO'd, Donowitz continues the fight as the referee is too busy making selfies, but eventually stops the fight giving Donowitz a brutal win in under a minute!
Time for welterweights as Byakuya Kuchiki faces debuting John Bale, Kuchiki looks to continue his wins after he won a decision fight earlier this month at Insanity 4. But you know what, John Bale is like an honey badger and doesn't give a shit and in 12 seconds flat Kuchiki is lying on his back counting stars. John Bale is scary, and his fists should be made illegal, but this is MMA so this is a good thing!
After that huge KO, we go to more welterweights as we have Zoran Hribar Vs. Jim Howard. The first round is Howard showing some real dominance as he utilises both ground and clinch games effectively to control his opponent. But the second round is all Hribar who decides to play h.o.r.s.e and do exactly what Howard did, but better. Third round is for all the marbles and despite a good start from Howard, it's all Hribar after the first minute and he grinds himself to a nice decision victory 29-28...

Time for midweights, and this time it's Chase Dunn Vs. Ricardo Oliveira Oliveira fought at Insanity 4 and won a decision, can he do the same tonight against the debuting Dunn? No, he can't... Oliveira is bleeding before the first minute ends, and as the second minute ends Oliveira gets his head knocked off and eats canvas giving Chase Dunn a brutal KO victory. Remember kids, Leg kicks are fun... But a punch to the face hurts more.
Light Heavyweight fighters are among the most veratile fighters in the world, combining speed with power in a deadly martini of pain. Glen Gorman Vs. Rod Sanders is setting up to be just that, well that's a lie really because Gorman tries to be good but he quickly gets a kick to the face that splits him open and soon after that he gets taken down, and after that he is locked into a kimura and has no other way out than to tap the canvas. Rod Sanders shows the power of custom avatars as he gets a very very nice submission victory.
Jyoti Evans Vs. Fabio Cusano in the lightweight division is next, the lightweights are like light-heavyweights, but they weigh less... It made sense in my head. Jyoti fought and won by Submission at Insanity 4, Cusano didn't. Evans gets the clinch, but Cusano pulls guard in an attempt to fight off his back, he almost gets a triangle but almost doesn't count. The ref stands them up and Evans goes for the clinch again, this time Cusano can't pull and that spells doom for him (doom I say!), he gets a knee in his face and his nose might be broken because it's bleeding. More punishment and Evans ends it with a thunderous uppercut that might have caused Cusano to fly for a second. Evans looks strong and he extends his Insanity record to 2-0 with this big KO.
Welterweight time as Jingle Jingle faces off against Tony LeSopra. Both guys fought at Insanity 4, Jingle won and Tony lost. Tony is looking to turn that around this time around. But Jingle has a different idea as he takes LeSopra down to the canvas and from side control he rocks him with a disgusting elbow (he didn't wash it, the slob). A big shot to the head of Le Sopra cracks his skull into the canvas and he is out completely, Jingle wins this fight with a dominant KO victory. Be afraid of this guy people, he means business!

Co-Main Event and it's more middleweights with Dylan Spencer Vs. Eric Bloodthorn. Spencer comes out looking for a big KO, but he doesn't get it as Bloodthorn avoids them like he's in the matrix. He also lands an ungodly amount of leg kicks that turns Spencer's shins to dust in quick time. Second round is more Bloodthorn who has turned the tables and is looking for a big finish! The fans get their wish of seeing a Cro Cop-ian finish as Bloodthorn steps up and kicks off Spencer's head with a huge head kick KO. Spencer falls down like a cut tree and the crowd is yelling "Timber!" Big ovation for Bloodthorn as he gets a spectacular Head Kick KO which will surely put him on the map.
And finally, the final fight of the final show of January. The main event of Insanity 7 is between Lightweight's Butch Shorette and Steve McGarrett. Shorette got a big KO victory at Insanity 4 earlier this month, and his fans are hoping for a repeat of that fight. McGarrett wants to win though and from the get go he is trying to hit the big money shot that will end Shorette. But that strike never happens as Shorette clinches up and starts a dirty boxing fight. What follows is certainly dirty as Shorette fails to land much hits from inside the clinch and the crowd are seeing an exciting chess game, problem is... Chess is boring. Anyways, with McGarrett failing to break up the clinch he eventually makes a mistake and with a short hook he falls down to the ground and Shorette moves in for the finish, the ref quickly reacts and pulls him off. Shorette got the big win tonight and extends his career streak to 5-0 with 5 (T)KO finishes in his career, amazing to say the least.

KO of the night:              John Bale
Sub of the night:             Rod Sanders
Fight of the night:           Eric Bloodthorn Vs. Dylan Spencer

January was a big month of MMA fights, and with every show it's becoming more clear who the stars are and who might become the inaugeral champion of their weight division. February will be even bigger than January though, as we will crown our first champions of Insanity!
