Whoa!!! As I am now getting arrested for what I just did to the two fairly shaped beauties found on the event poster in my mind I will be glad to inform Heavyweight Prize Fighting’s fans of yet another 10 fight card with more action and violence at our disposal. Saturday the 8th will mark the 10th event HWP will have held in the new year and it will be tons of fun.

The middle aged Lenny Mclean will take on the youngster Koni Maximus to start our previews and usually we would think that the older would have a large advantage over the youngsters but in this situation, I think Mclean is in some trouble. Not that he is over the hill by any means, he has come up with four straight wins two by knockout, but in the fact that this youngster is a wrestling- jiu jitsu phenom. Koni has let the entire world know that his sole focus in life is to achieve a red belt. Being just as Abrasive as Rousimar Palhares in his training sessions, I find it incredibly hard to believe that the Guv’Nor will have enough skills to keep this fight from getting to the ground and keeping limbs attached. Also working against him is his 20lb weight disadvantage. Good fighter, tough matchup.

HWP’s signature has always been having a mammoth take on a smaller machine with excellent heart and guts. Frank Henderson vs Bam Bam Cierra is just the fight we are looking for. Henderson being the lighter of the two is 70lbs lighter than his superheavyweight sized foe. Bam Bam is fairly well rounded and doesn’t have many weaknesses. A real Michael Bisping type who can stand and bang, clinch and survive a fight on the ground, will need to subdue Henderson’s wrestling skills to keep the fight standing as his lightheavyweight foe is a superb submission artist with his Brown belt in Brazilian Jiu jitsu. While it is tough to keep up with the speed and quickness of a smaller foe I thing this fight plays directly into Bam Bam’s hands as he should be able to keep the fight standing long enough to do good damage to prevent himself from being taken down in the latter rounds. I am expecting a win for Cierra.

Lou Ferrigno is still flexing his muscles while Vince Dixon is not. Ferrigno, known for his insane muscles and role in “The incredible hulk” just bounced back from a few losses and a downfall to a beautiful, earth shattering KO of Grammar Natzee in seconds when he rocked his skull with a telltale right hook. Vince Dixon is a true couch potato, when I interviewed him I asked, “How are you preparing for your upcoming fight with Ferrigno?” he replied, “Man I just love bacon.” Besides Ferrigno slipping on a banana peel and ending up on the ground I don’t really see much of a chance for Dixon to win. If the fight gets to the ground it will be heavily in his favor, literally. Dixon has to get the fight to the ground to remotely have a chance at winning this one, and when he ends up on the ground, he must still be conscious and Ferrigno must be down there with him. Apollo is a  face masher and if this fight stays standing for longer than 3 minutes I expect Vince Dixon to be dreaming about his pork breakfast.

For our main event saturday, Bob Baramari, commonly called the Dreamboy will take on The Original Gangster Kent Phillips. This fight has Fight of the night written all over it. With both fighters as heavy hitters Baramari at 39 years old has registered 30KO victories while Phillips, 27 has 13 Kos and the only fights he didnt win in this fashion came at the start of his career. 4-0 since joining HWP Kent Phillips has show our fight fans that he has the ability to knock opponents out with each of his limbs at will. Baramari the HWP legend has seen better days as well as worse days. In this fight Baramari will look to land better kicks and strikes in the clinch than his powerpunching opponent who will obviously aim high and throw hard. If you needed me to tell you, I think that Kent Phillips will take this one and the dreamboy can dream on.

Thank you all for reading and joining us for HWP's next event Saturday february 8th. Remember you can always double your chances with bets on your fighters at HWP. Good luck and TO ALL ENJOY!
