East Coast Fighting Championship Evolves into 200k+ ID league

Organization owner Derek Patterson released a statement “East Coast Fighting Championship is looking to capture the up and coming talent, and create an atmosphere where they can thrive. This change to ECFC is going to give our org a niche within NY, as we hope to establish ourselves as a premium organization quickly”. Natural selection is the process by which biological traits become either more or less common in a population in a function of the effect of inherited traits on the differential reproductive success of organisms interacting with their environment. ECFC is hoping this evolution as a business will drive success, the jury is still out, but early response is positive.

Newly signed fighter Micah Fatu when reached for comment has this to say: “The change to ECFC is going to benefit me greatly; it has leveled the playing field for myself and countless other fighters, and provided us an opportunity to grow. This org has welcomed me with open arms and provided me with a competitive opponent right out the gate”. This seems to be the case as Fatu is attempting to resurrect his career in an upcoming fight against Jason Hernandez at “ECFC 5 – Bova vs Riley” after being cut by his previous manager.

ECFC currently has three upcoming events, but next on the docket is:

“ECFC 3 - Dayshsus vs Mcdevett” – This event is a full card scheduled to take place February 28th, 2014 at the underground. The event is headlined by the fight for the 185 strap between two highly skilled fighters. Dayshus comes in with a record of 6-2 and the ability to end a fight early, of his six previous victories five have ended in the first round, four by submission. On the other side, Mcdevett (4-3) likes to clinch and it appears he has a knack for delivery blows that just gash up his opponents, as three of his victories have come from cut stoppages.

In an effort to create a league that is fair to newer fighters, the organization will be releasing all fighters with an ID under 200,000, providing those fighters with the chance to match against similarly skilled opponents.
