Featherweight Championship

(Champ) Edward Flores vs. (4.) Francesco Torzoni

Edward "Landslide" Flores will defend his belt for the first time this saturday. Flores is in 6-fight win streak and in his latest he finished Enrico Matta in under 3 minutes by TKO. Flores has been very impressive so far in DFC, but Torzoni will be definately toughest test in his career and in fact the champ will be underdog in this bout.

We had chance to talk with the champ before his big fight and here's what he said about the fight and his challenger:

"My opponent is a striker just like me, he likes TKO/KO'ing his opponents, he has a Granite chin. So in short, he is very gifted and he shows a lot of promise. I'm obsessed about Torzoni, everything I do and train is for beating this guy. But you know what I'm undefeated and he is not, I've fought great fighters and he fought cans, I've been champion and he'll never be one.

I am not underestimating him, I literally know everything about him, that his his real name is Pizza Lover you don't beleive me check his profile. Yeah he is older and more trained but so what I'm better and stronger. I promise you he will throw primarily punches to the head a couple to the body and some leg kicks I'm not worried at all.

Lastly I like to say that I respect him but I will win and retain my championship status. Shout out to my team mates back in Team Hopkins Mark Barriga and Jimmy Belingon for their recent wins, and I'm telling you guys we will have a new Bantamweight Champ, Yamamoto will lose to Mark and Please give Belingon a shot at the Lightweight Belt I think he is ready. I also like to thank Wessel Error for being a GREAT boss I only hope the best for DFC, Team Hopkins will be the Champ in all the lower weight classes here you better believe that."

"Lord" Francesco Torzoni gave his warning to everyone in DFC featherweight division when he TKO'd the former DFC champion Frank Benoit. This upcoming title bout was offered to David Perez first, but it was obvious that he didn't want to fight his teammate, so Torzoni got this chance to prove that he has what it takes to rule the 145 division.

This 21-year italian was also very vocal when he was asked about the champ Flores:

"They call him Edward Flores: The undefeated 145 pound king of DFC, the "Landslide". He's reigned for a solid Tycoon year - defeating Hanz Titties twice and sparking out Enrico Matta in less than one round.

The world is at your feet, Edward. I see you brimming with the relentless optimism of a man who has had it easy all of his life, who has never tasted defeat let alone a crisis. *golf claps*

I applaud you, Eddie. I envy you. For you know not the misery of a blemished record - you have never had your mettle tested. But at DFC 44, your perfect, undefeated world is going to crumble. I am your funhouse mirror reflection, Eddie my boy. I am all that is wrong with the world you reign over, and I am coming to tear down all that you have worked for, all that you hold dear. So says the Lord Francesco Torzoni, you will be nailed to the tree of woe. Amen."

Welterweight Championship

(Champ) John Dux vs. (2.) Jay Yap

The fresh DFC welterweight champion John Dux is heading to his 2nd title defence this saturday. He solidified his champion status by defeating the former champ David Tennant twice via unanimous decision. Dux is just 21 year old and he has all the tools to rule the welterweight division for the long time. His next test Jay Yap is remarkable boxer so Yap is probably going to want to keep this fight on the feet because Dux should really have big edge if the fight goes to the ground. It will be interesting to see if Dux gonna just stand and bang with Yap or will he maybe try to get his first career submission win.

The challenger Jay "The Surgeon" Yap is preparing for his 2nd title chance in DFC. His first title chance was against former champion Tennant but he came out short that night when Tennant finished him pretty quickly. Now he has another chance to become the DFC champion, but he is underdog in this bout so he needs to show his topgame if wants get his hands on the belt. Yap has been impressive lately, he TKO'd Game Over and his latest one was first round knockout of the night performance against Masaru Shimabukuro. Can "The Surgeon" shock the world?

Heavyweight

(4.) Jack Hollow vs. (6.) Jakub Ketrzynski

Interesting heavyweight bout will entertain us before the title bouts. Jack Hollow has really been hyped around the MMA world, his loss to Vincent Mars took him few steps backwards, but his latest 28 second knock out of the night vs. Felipe Francisco really showed how dangerous guy he is. He known to be knockout artist as all of his victories has come via TKO/KO, but it's crazy that he is actually BJJ black belt with 0 submission so he really must have skills that we haven't seen yet. Jack is really close to get the tittle shot, but now he needs to focus on this fight.

Jakub Ketrzynski started his DFC career with 2 losses, but lately he has been on fire and he is in 3-fight win streak. Latest victory came against LeBron James  by unanimous decision. Upcoming bout against Hollow will however be big step up in competition as Hollow will be much stronger than the 3 previous opponents. Jakub will need to use his wonderful wrestling, but he must aware of the submission game of his BJJ black belt opponent if the fight hits the mat. Ketrzynski is big underdog, but anything is possible everytime two warriors steps in the cage.
