Soren Holst is one of those types of guys who has the drive to achieve just about anything. When he was a child, the man who would later become known as simply, "War Machine" was already winning grappling tournaments and became obsessed with two things in his younger days: fighting & women. Women & fighting. What teenager doesn't have to make that decision in life? Oh, that's right, A NERD!!! Soren was the most popular kid in school. Everybody knew his name especially after he broke the principles leg with a knee bar.
Soren wanted to become a star, though. He ventured off in to acting and had made quite a nae for himself at the age of 20-21. He was only a local celebrity in Denmark but his acting skills were phenomenal. It wasn't enough for Soren, though. He decided on his 22nd birthday that he wanted to stop making movies and start persuiting his passions; with the first being women, he ended up becoming the real life Jonny Bravo. He gave that up quickly and started training on THE Island with some of the best Brazilian Jui Jitsu coaches on the planet. The coaches were impressed with Soren's determination and untapped relentlessness which they saw as potential to reach the very top of the enormous mountain he was going try and climb.
In his first fight, Soren had to compete against a tall and lanky 130 pound chicken-shit fighter who looked under-prepared for a fight with his the War Machine, who might just surpise any competitor with his ground & pound and skills in BJJ. Nonetheless, both fighters signed the 145lbs fight contract UNDER the required weight limit by up to 20lbs. In a very rare version of a "cut" both fighters had to bulk up in order to seize whatever advantage they could get over their opponent: weight will make a big difference and both camp's know it.
His opponent, who is either stuck in some kind of pro wrestling gimmick or has severe mental issues as he wants to be called nothing but "All day every day", is apparently unphased by even the most severe of strikes, whether they be knees & elbows to the face, wheel kicks to the sternum, or even the most brutal of leg checks. "All day" is also a former boxer who brawled in boxing and will feel most as home if he can control the distance in this fight. If his reputation proceeds him, Soren will have his work cut out for him.
Soren, on the other hand, has an extensive history has worked his way towards a brown belt in BJJ in just under 16 months of training. He has proficient wrestling and scary ground & pound skills and most importantly, he can survive a brutal round of domination just to come back from no where late in the round to pick up a victory.
Both fighters have never had a mixed martial arts fight but you'd have to say that both fighters can win if they can control the fight. Soren will look to escape any punches from landing by executing an early takedown, and "All day" will need to stick and move if he wants to avoid being taken down.
FIRST ROUND:
Excellent introduction from the announcer. Soren charges in to the cage full of energy and ready for combat while "All day" looks sick. The bell for the first round is rung and we're underway. Soren dives in immediately and throws a sharp jab but "All day" wants none of that nonsense. He shows swift head movement but Soren looks like he used the jab to distract his opponent and execute the needed takedown. IT WORKED, he's got it!!!
"Holst darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard," the commentators chuffed as Soren looked to get himself in to a dominant position. "All day" was absolutely uncomfortable in this position and didn't know what the hell Soren was doing. Lets hope he didn't bring the "Baaaawwwwksern" mentality with him to MMA becase he may very well be in for the worst few minutes of his life.
"All day" just sitting around trying to squirm his way up but Soren uses his superior wrestling & BJJ to trap an arm and jump in to a mount position after faking a kimura attempt. "All day" has no clue what he's doing and Soren is picking him apart.
That's one minute in and ...
PART TWO COMING SOON :)
(I guess i need to learn how to make fights sound a bit more realistic with better storytelling.)
